Mateusz Gamrot vs. Quillan Salkilld

Pick: Mateusz Gamrot

This is the classic matchup between a grappler and a striker.  Gamrot is one of the best grapplers in the lightweight division, while Salkilld has the power to end this fight in one punch.  While I don’t like banking on the aging veteran, I do think there is a lot of value in his submission prop.  If he can get his wrestling going as he has done in all of his wins, he should be able to wear down Salkilld and find the late choke.

  • Prediction: Mateusz Gamrot by Submission +650

Amanda Lemos vs. Alexia Thainara

Pick: Alexia Thainara

Thainara is a smart fighter and knows that to win this fight she has to get it to the ground.  On the feet, Lemos is good enough to box with anyone in this division, but on the ground she doesn’t even try to get back up.  Thainara is strong enough to get the fight down, and once it is down, I don’t see Lemos being able to get back up.  I’m going to go with the longshot bet and pick Thainara by Submission.

Ty Miller vs. Billy Ray Goff

Pick: Ty Miller

Miller has a ton of power, precision, and speed, and while Goff is pretty durable, he doesn’t have much to offer on the feet.  Miller should be able to find his range, and once he lands clean a few times, Goff will likely be looking to try to hold him against the cage.  Once Miller breaks free from any grappling attempts, he will be able to outstrike Goff and get the KO.
