Buckley has proven he can go five rounds even when his opponents are trying to push a wrestling pace on him, while Malott hasn’t shown that he has the cardio to go that far. Malott will need to wrestle to avoid Buckley’s striking, but while he does that, he will be burning out his gas tank. Eventually Buckley takes over this fight and wins.

Nick Galanti vs Julien Leblanc

Pick: Nick Galanti

Leblanc is a hometown fighter, but he isn’t someone who has the skills to stay on the UFC roster for long.  Galanti is going to get this fight on the ground if he wants it, and he is going to dominate this fight.  Leblanc is live for a fluke submission, but outside of that this is Galanti’s fight to dominate. He is a massive -600 favorite, but we can get him at dog prices by picking how he wins this fight.

  • Prediction: Galanti by KO +225, Galanti by KO Round 1 +600

Chad Anheliger vs Steven Koslow

Pick: Steven Koslow

Anheliger is coming off of a two-year layoff, while Koslow is coming off of a four-year layoff, so this is a long-shot play. Koslow is a submission specialist, and being nearly ten years younger, I’m hoping the time off was used to improve his wrestling. Koslow needs to get to work early and show off his ground skills because the longer this fight goes, the better chance Anheliger has.
