Saturday’s EPL DFS slate seems particularly top-heavy, as the top three teams on the table are all in action and are heavily favored. The slate is top-heavy for fantasy as well. Erling Haaland and Aleksandar Mitrovic are always threats to score goals but with such favorable matchups, it will be tough to fade either. Of course, if you play them, that makes it difficult to afford other players from City or any attackers from Arsenal, who are currently top of the table. Fortunately for us, there are a lot of nice value plays on the slate, and there could be even more once lineups are announced. These teams all played Monday and have another fixture midweek so we could see even more lineup rotation than we are used to.

EPL DFS Top Plays December 31

Robert SanchezBHAARS  89.80
Brighton is 2-0 against Arsenal in 2022 and 5-3-2 in their last 10 meetings. This is the best Arsenal squad in that spand but also the best Brighton side. I know its a rough matchup but Brighton is too good for Sanchez to be so cheap at home.
Bernd LenoFULSOU52008.821113.50
Among teams in this slate, only Everton has scored fewer goals. Leno has an excellent shot at a win and a clean sheet and he could pick up a few saves as well.
Manchester City is third in goals allowed and clean sheets. Everton has scored the third-fewest goals and allowed the fourth-most clean sheets. You can pivot to Nick Pope or Aaron Ramsdale if you need to but if I pay up, I'm going all the way.
Eberechi EzeCRYBOU690011.571412.55
Bournemouth is allowing the most goals in the league, and Eze is the safest Crystal Palace attacker. He isn't too expensive and it helps that he is a forward on DraftKings.
Chris WoodNEWLEE43002.58134.44
I really thought his price would go up after he scored for the second time in three games Monday, albeit from the penalty spot. Leeds has allowed the third-most goals this season and I would rather pay down for Wood than chase Miguel Almiron or Bruno Guimaraes.
Odsonne EdouardCRYBOU54006.361412.52
He is pretty cheap for someone with an attacking return in four or his last six starts. He isn't safe on either site but it helps that he has a great matchup.
Erling HaalandMCIEVE1270023.882538.67
His goose egg against Brentford before the break is a distant memory and if for some reason he doesn't score, his ownership will be so high that it probably won't hurt it. There are a lot of nice values on this slate which makes it easier to pay up for Haaland.
Aleksandar MitrovicFULSOU940017.212227.48
Only Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest have allowed more goals than Southampton. Mitrovic has double-digit DK fantasy points in five straight games, and he is even safer on FanDuel.
Phil FodenMCIEVE1220014.142018.91
I don't want to have so many Manchester City attackers in this list, but Foden is a core play on FanDuel so he has to be included here. His FPPG is low because he came off the bench in four of his last five games, but he is as good as anyone when he starts.
Eddie NketiahARSBHA  163.98
I don't know how long Nketiah's Gabriel Jesus impersonation will continue, but I am willing to find out. He has a chance to be a really nice value.
Lewis CookBOUCRY44005.5910.04
Cook is averaging 3.5 crosses and 1.5 chances created in his last four games. If Marcus Travernier is out, Cook should split corners with Philip Billing and while Billing is more likely to score, Cook is cheaper and safer. Among the teams playing Saturday, Crystal Palace is second in crosses allowed.
Jack HarrisonLEENEW480010.311413.03
His DraftKings price looks like a typo. He is $2,500 cheaper than in any other slate this season. Harrison is on corners and he has four attacking returns this season.
Kevin De BruyneMCIEVE1020019.632123.99
This is usually the part where I wring my hands over De Bruyne's lack of forward eligibility but that position is so deep Saturday that I don't think it matters. Among players on Saturday's slate, only Haaland is averaging more DK fantasy points than De Bruyne.
Granit XhakaARSBHA  1414.66
Xhaka has at least two chances created in three of his last four games, including Monday against West Ham. He should have a reasonable floor and he will allow to pay up for other attackers.
Joel WardCRYBOU29002.9189.62
Bournemouth has allowed the most crosses in the league and Ward had seven crosses in his last three starts. He is a solid punt play with Tyrick Mitchell out.
Issa DiopFULSOU34005.01810.56
Diop is averaging 12.6 FD fantasy points in his seven starts. Only Liverpool has allowed more clearances than Southampton this season and Diop looks like a really nice value in addition to being relatively safe.
Liam CooperLEENEW26005.361113.58
Cooper struggled agianst Manchester City but he had double-digit FD fantasy points in six straight games before the break. Newcastle has allowed the third-most clearances this season.
Kieran TrippierNEWLEE810015.741520.58
Much like Kevin De Bruyne, there are enough values at other traditions that I am okay with more than I am usually comfortable for a defender. Trippier had nine crosses and four chances created against Leicester Monday and this looks like another good matchup.
Jordan ZemuraBOUCRY39005.35911.01
Only four teams have allowed more crosses than Crystal Palace this season. Zemura was solid at Chelsea Monday and I expect him to get forward more often Saturday.
