Usually, when we think of a high-scoring EPL DFS slate, we picture a bunch of games featuring teams at the bottom of the table. Sunday’s four-game EPL DFS slate does not fit that bill, as none of the eight teams is lower than 13th in the table. That being said, clean sheets could be hard to come by. Only one team (Brentford) has been shut out more than twice this season, and they are at home against an Aston Villa side that has not been nearly as formidable on the road.

Meanwhile, Brighton is the only team that hasn’t yet recorded or allowed a clean sheet. If each game does in fact feature at least a couple of goals, this could be a good time to play a cheap goalkeeper. That said, if none of the keepers records a clean sheet, paying for a likely win could be even more valuable. Similarly, this might be a good time to load up on mid-priced attackers. If every team has a decent chance of scoring, we will probably get some relatively cheap goals from unexpected sources.

EPL DFS Soccer Picks December 16

Goalkeepers

Emiliano MartinezAVLBRE50008.781110.63
Brentford's only win in the last six weeks was against Luton, and their offense looked completely inept last week with Bryan Mbeumo out. Villa has been much better at home this season, which is why this price is so low, but I still think this is our best target on the slate.
Alisson BeckerLIVMUN  1312.39
This looks like a tough matchup at first blush, but I'm not sure it is. Only five teams have scored fewer goals than Manchester United, who is sixth in the table on poitns but 12th in goal differential. Only four teams have been shut out more than United. Liverpool has won all seven of their home games, and on this slate, I'll gladly pay for a win and hope for a clean sheet.
Jose SaWOLWHU43004.9105.63
If you absolutely cannot afford Emiliano Martinez, I'm fine with just going cheap and hoping West Ham miss a bunch of shots. West Ham actually has a negative xGD at home, and Wolves could take advantage if the Hammers come back down to earth.

Saman GhoddosBREAVL49004.597.40
Brentford did very little offensively at Sheffield United last week, so I don't have high hopes against Aston Villa. That being said, Ghoddos took all of Brentford's corners in that game, and he has 16 crosses in his four starts this season. You can pivot to Keane Lewis-Potter or Yoane wissa depending on how much salary you have to spend, but Ghoddos remains a nice value forward with a bit of upside.
Ollie WatkinsAVLBRE760014.172024.09
This is the cheapest Watkins has been on DraftKings since September. He didn't do much against Arsenal and Manchester City but this is a much better matchup. Only four players have more goals than Watkins this season.
Simon AdingraBHAARS65008.941816.79
This is pretty cheap for someone with 14 crosses, nine shots and 11 chances createdin his last three games. The matchup is scary, but Brighton is one of three teams that hasn't been shut out all season. If they keep the streak going, there is an excellent chance Adingra is involved.
Moussa DiabyAVLBRE56008.811614.76
Diaby was much more expensive before coming off the bench the last three games. If Leon Bailey is unable to go, Diaby and John McGinn would both be playable. Diaby gets the nod over McGinn due to his foward-eligibility and cheaper price on FanDuel.
Jarrod BowenWHUWOL730014.772125.60
You can easily pivot to James Ward-Prowse or Mohammed Kudus, especially on FanDuel, but Bowen makes this list because he is too cheap on DraftKings. He has double-digit fantasy points in six of his last seven games, and this is not a scary matchup. It also doesn't hurt that he is eligible at forward.

Mohamed SalahLIVMUN  2429.37
Much like on DraftKings, if you're going to pay up on FanDuel, you may as well go all the way. There are a bunch of players I like for $18-$21, but Salah and Saka are a cut above the rest. Salah has at least one goal involvement in every home game this season, and I doubt Manchester United breaks that streak.
Midfielders
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Pablo SarabiaWOLWHU72009.781715.33
Sarabia had seven crosses and at least three chances created in both games since rejoining the starting lineup. This is a tougher matchup, but Wolves have been shut out just once all season. I like Sarabia's chances for a goal involvement in this game.
Bukayo SakaARSBHA1000019.162329.51
I feel like I am aways guessing wrong when it comes to the Arsenal attackers, so I'll just pay for the one with at least 12.2 DK fantasy points in 14 of his 15 games. You can pivot to Odegaard or Jesus on FanDuel but I definitely want Saka on DraftKings.
Pascal GrossBHAARS990016.232024.41
I would love to fade Gross in this matchup, but there just aren't enough top-tier targets on DraftKings for me to ignore him. Gross has five goal involvements in his last four games, with 32 crosses and 15 chances created in that span. Those numbers play in any matchup.
Defenders
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Rayan Ait-NouriWOLWHU46005.341010.92
Ait-Nouri was playing great before his ankle injury, scoring at least 9.7 DK fantasy points in three straight games. If he picks up where he left off, he is much too cheap.
Alex MorenoAVLBRE39000.21122.13
Moreno is set to get his first start in the Premier League this season with Lucas Digne suspended. Moreno averaged 3.24 crosses per 90 minutes last season and he is much too cheap. Moreno should be in all of your DraftKings lineups.
Jonny EvansMUNLIV  99.14
Evans hasn't exactly been consistent this season, but he is averaging 13.7 fantasy points in five starts. He is far too cheap for that production, especially when you consider Liverpool is the best matchup in the league for defensive stats.
Pau TorresAVLBRE34005.221111.67
Only two teams have allowed more clearances than Brentford, and Torres has at least 13.5 FD fantasy points in four of his last five games. With Ezri Konsa likely starting outside, Torres is the clear choice if you want a safe defender on FanDuel.
