In the past when we discussed how different a given DraftKings slate was from a FanDuel slate, we were usually referring to the scoring or the positional eligibility between sites. That is less of a factor on Saturday’s EPL DFS slate, but what really sets them apart is that FanDuel’s main slate has two more games. It is often the case that FanDuel’s main slate features one more game, but with DraftKings confined to the 10:00 am ET games and FanDuel featuring the 12:30 pm ET game. Saturday’s schedule features one more game, and it should be the biggest of them all. Newcastle will look for its first win against Manchester City in nearly five years, and just its second since October 2014. Manchester City will be missing two of its starters from Week 1 while Newcastle will likely expect a result following their 5-1 thrashing of Aston Villa.

On the one hand, it isn't a great sign that Brighton couldn't keep a clean sheet against Luton last week. On the other hand, Wolverhampton was one of four teams that failed to score in the opening week of the season. I don't trust Liverpool to keep a clean sheet against anyone, so Steele looks like our best bet.

I really don't like the keepers on either slate. That being said, Fulham was second in the league in saves last season and Leno had nine last week against Everton. It also helps that Fulham is at home.

Manchester City has a win and a clean sheet in four consecutive home games against Newcastle. The gap has certainly closed between these two teams but it's not like any of the other favorites are sure bets.

Whoever starts for Bernardo Silva will be usable for fantasy, but if its Jack Grealish, that just means we will have to try to guess right between Grealish, Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez. Palmer is significantly cheaper than them all and is a must-play if he starts.
Julian Alvarez

Alvarez led City with six chances created and five crosses while splitting corner kicks with Phil Foden. You can pivot to Foden or even Rodri if you need to, but Alvarez offers a lot of offensive versatility without having to pay up for Erling Haaland.

I have nothing against Erling Haaland but Salah has a much better matchup and he is cheaper.

Antony had three shots, three crosses and three chances created against Wolverhampton. I'll pay up for Bruno Fernandes if I can but Antony looks like a strong value Saturday.

I refuse to pay so much for Pascal Gross, no matter how thin forward is on DraftKings. That means I'll probably wind up pairing Mbeumo with a cheaper forward in many of my lineups.

I really thought he would be more expensive after he led the team in chances created and shots and scored a goal against Tottenham. He won't send in crosses like Mbeumo but he might have more upside.

I trust Wilson more than anyone on this roster, though that is damning with faint praise. Willian and Andreas Pereira played less than 80 minutes combined against Everton, while Raul Jimenez hasn't been good in years. Wilson led the team with two chances created while adding two crosses.
Pedro Neto

At the risk of overreacting to one game, Neto is ridiculously underpriced on DraftKings. He took six of the team's seven corner kicks and sent in 15 of their 23 crosses. He also led the team with four chances created while taking three shots. This is Neto's fifth Premier League season but he is only 23 years old. It is possible we are seeing the start of a breakout, but that doesn't need to be the case for Neto to be startable for fantasy.

I would have a difficult time arguing against any Brighton attacker, but I thought Mitoma looked the most dangerous against Luton. He finished with four crosses and five chances created and easily could have had more than one assist. I think he is too cheap on DraftKings and I'm probably playing him over his teammates on FanDuel as well.

Ideally I would like to play two Liverpool forwards, but I'm not sure the pricing will allow that. Szoboszlai created three chances while sending in three crosses, including two of Liverpool's four corners. He only took one shot against Chelsea but there is a good chance everyone jumps into the attack against Bournemouth.

I'm shocked Henry costs so little after he was arguably Brentford's best player against Tottenham. He might not record another assist all season but he should send in a few more crosses while adding some defensive stats.

Bueno send in four crosses and one shot while creating one chance in 13 minutes at Manchester United. It's possible Rayan Ait-Nouri starts again but Bueno is much too cheap if he starts.

It was just two seasons ago that Ait-Nouri averaged 4.73 crosses per 90 minutes. He didn't do much against Manchester United but this could be a better matchup. You could do worse at a minimum-priced starting left back.

I don't think this is a great slate for paying up for defenders but you can do it, especially if you fade the expensive Brighton attackers. Robertson had a modest four crosses and one chance created against Chelsea but this should be a much different game. I doubt he stays this cheap for long.
