There is no feeling quite like filling out your EPL DFS lineup and then realising you didn’t roster as many Liverpool players as you would like to. I fear I will know that feeling all too well after lineups are announced Saturday. On the one hand, Liverpool is at home against the worst road team in the league, and they could easily score six goals for a second consecutive game. On the other hand, Liverpool players are awfully expensive, especially when it is nearly impossible to trust any of them outside of Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Fortunately, I found enough value plays to build my lineups around those two but you may want to make an effort to roster more Liverpool players, especially since they are by far the biggest favorites on the slate.

EPL DFS Soccer Picks April 22

EPL DFS Top Goalkeepers

Sam JohnstoneCRYEVE520017.881227.25
Everton has won three straight, while Everton has lost its last two. This is a lot to pay for a keeper on the 12th-place team, but I think they will continue their hot streak at least until Wilfried Zaha returns. It helps that Everton is tied for the fewest goals scored this season.
Liverpool has some inexplicable results on its resume, but they were almost all on the road. Only four teams have more home wins than Liverpool, and Nottingham Forest has three fewer road points than any other team in the league. If there was ever a time to trust Alisson, this would appear to be it.
Jose SaWOLLEI46006.8910.35
As you may have guessed from my first two picks, I don't love this slate for cheap keepers. That being said, only Southampton has more home losses than Leicester this season. Wolverhampton hasn't exactly been great on the road but I'm willing to take a shot at this price.

EPL DFS Top Forwards

Diego CostaWOLLEI46003.04137.20
Only one team on the slate has allowed more goals than Leicester, and Costa appears to have found his form since returning to the starting lineup. He is a nice punt play on both sites.
Mohamed SalahLIVNFO1190014.312321.59
After a relatively slow start, Salah has seven goals in his last six starts. You can pivot to Cody Gakpo or Digo Jota, especially if you think Liverpool is going to score six goals again, but I would rather pay a little bit more for someone I trust.
Dwight McNeilEVECRY83009.451411.54
He is tied for the team lead with four goals after he failed to score a single goal for Burnley last season. McNeil has been very solid for fantasy since Sean Dyche took over and he is safer than many of the forwards who cost more on DraftKings.

EPL DFS Top Midfielders

Pablo SarabiaWOLLEI56006.74118.29
Making his first start in over a month, Sarabia had six crosses, two chances created and one shot against Brentford last week. So long as Daniel Podence starts on the bench, Sarabia is a safe midfielder with a very nice matchup.
Douglas LuizAVLBRE62008.791412.71
Only two teams have allowed more crosses than Brentford this season and Luiz leads Aston Villa's likely starters with 3.05 crosses per 90 minutes. Unless you want to pay up for Ollie Watkins, Luiz looks like the safest Aston Villa attacker.
James MaddisonLEIWOL810016.971921.65
I was prepared to fade Maddison but I am not afraid of Wolverhampton, especially with Leicester at home. More importantly, this is the cheapest Maddison has been on DraftKings all season despite scoring at least 13 fantasy points in 10 of his last 11 starts. You could do much worse in his price range.
Eberechi EzeCRYEVE98009.961913.28
Its hard to argue against someone who has at least 29.2 FD fantasy points in three straight games. He looks safe for as long as Wilfried Zaha is out. This is a large price to pay but now that the long-awaited breakout appears to have happened, I don't intend to miss out.
Michael OliseCRYEVE960012.441612.92
I'll have a hard time paying for him on DraftKings, though he is arguably safer than Eberechi Eze. Olise is on this list because he is very cheap for someone who is eighth in the league in chances created per start. It also helps that only one of the players ahead of him on the list (James Maddison) plays Saturday.

EPL DFS Top Defenders

Victor KristiansenLEIWOL43005.5910.00
He is awfully cheap for a defender who should at the very least spilt corners with James Maddison. Krsitiensen struggled at Manchester City last week but he had nine crosses, two shots and a chance created in his last two games before that.
Scott McKennaNFOLIV26002.321010.79
McKenna is averaging 14.36 FD fantasy points in his last seven starts, including a season-high 23.6 FD fantasy points in the reverse fixture against Liverpool. Liverpool is the best matchup in the league for defensive stats and while Felipe is safer, McKenna looks like the far better value.
Ashley YoungAVLBRE45005.761111.22
Young has at least 6.0 DK fantasy points in four straight games, with eight crosses, two chances created and three shots in that span. Only two teams have allowed more crosses than Brentford this season and while Alex Moreno is more likely to take advantage, Young will allow you to spend up elsewhere.
Trent Alexander-ArnoldLIVNFO790011.981313.84
No team on the slate has allowed more crosses this season, and only Leicester has allowed more corners. This is a lot to pay for a defender on DraftKings but I love him in the UTIL spot, especially compared to the midfielders in his price range.
