The final event of the regular season is upon us. With the playoff picture coming into shape, which golfers can end their season on a high note, or get themselves into the FedEx Cup Playoffs? Sedgefield is the perfect venue to end the season on, as it will be a true test for the players. Will 2025 Champion Cameron Young continue his strong end to the season, or will a new name find a victory here?

Don't forget, when looking to build your lineups, make sure to take advantage of our PGA DFS Projections, PGA DFS Ownership, and PGA DFS Lineup Optimizer to get every advantage you can.

Let’s dive in!

Wyndham Championship 2026: Daily Fantasy Golf Picks & Projections

Founded back in 1938 as the Greater Greensboro Open, this event has been a mainstay on the PGA tour for quite some time. This has been quite a historic event for the tour, most notably due to Sam Snead. When Snead won this event in 1965, he set the record as the oldest winner of a tournament on the PGA Tour, and this was his 8th win of the event, both of which are records that still stand to this day. It's an extremely important event for players as well, as this is the last chance to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs. Many notable players are on the cusp of the playoffs, and with rookie phenom Jackson Koivun currently holding the last playoff spot, many players will need him to falter to even stand a chance. For example, Keegan Bradley will need to finish at least in a two way tie for 38th, Jason day a two way tie for 12th, Brooks Koepka needs a solo 4th, and Tony Finau needs a two way tie for third. This is again assuming Koivun records no points this week, but these numbers may shift if he does. We're certainly in for an intense four days of golf.

Sedgefield Country Club: Course Breakdown This Week

Located in Greensboro, North Carolina, Sedgefield Country Club has been the host of the Wyndham Championship since 2008 after previously being an alternate host from 1938 to 1976. Playing at a Par 70 measuring 7,131 yards, we’re looking at a much shorter course than we’ve seen of late. A Donald Ross design, we see many of the calling cards of most Ross courses with an emphasis on putting and placement being a key historic indicator of success here.

Looking at the 12 par 4s, which measure between 374 and 507 yards, it’s clear that these short par 4s are going to be some of the most important scoring holes on the week. The 2 par 5s measure at just 529 and 545 yards respectively, showing the lack of distance as a defense at this venue. Lastly, the 4 par 3s play between 175 and 225 yards, giving us a clear bucket to focus on for those tee shots. With Bermuda grass throughout, not only do we have an emphasis on putting, but putting on Bermuda greens specifically will be the key putting stat of focus.

Sedgefield features some of the narrowest fairways on tour, averaging under 30 yards wide, as well as greens measuring only 6,000 sq ft on average. This places further emphasis on the accuracy metrics I've previously mentioned. The bermuda rough also creates a challenge for players. While it is not long, it is very dense and will create many situations where players have to factor in flyer lies, which could cause some issues for many on approach. Bunkers are not overly placed throughout the venue, but they are strategically placed (as we know to expect with Donald Ross courses) and will need to be kept in mind both off the tee and on approach.

I say this next part without any hyperbole whatsoever: Sedgefield Country Club is the easiest course on tour to gain strokes on approach. That said, because it’s so easy for the field, the elite ball-strikers stand out and tend to be the ones near the top of the leaderboard. Past the aforementioned putting on bermuda focus, we also need to look at three putt avoidance as that is where many tend to lose strokes here.

Given the overall stats of this event, you may think that this event won’t feature much scoring, since we’re focusing so heavily on approach and simple putting stats. If that’s the case, you’d be dead wrong. Often at Sedgefield, the winning score ends up between 15 and 22 under par, showing a clear need to focus on Birdies or Better Gained, as well as Bogey Avoidance as key stats as well. This course is going to play very straightforward, and as a result, our key plays will be as well.

Wyndham Championship 2026 Field: Golf DFS

As a non-signature event that falls a week prior to the FedEx St. Jude Championship, it should again be no surprise that we see a softer field this week. Cameron Young is the only top 10 player in the field this week, and he's arguably only here as he is the defending champion of the venue. Past him, most of the field is here to improve their standings in terms of FedEx Cup points for the playoffs, or to try and get into the playoffs as a whole. Young is joined by Aaron Rai, Tom Kim, J.T. Poston, Lucas Glover, and Brandt Snedeker as former winners at the venue. Jackson Koivun currently holds the 70th most FedEx Cup points, which means he will need a solid performance to solidify his spot in the playoffs, but there are way more implications this week than many would expect.

GOLF DFS PICKS THIS WEEK: Top Tier

Cameron Young ($10,400 DraftKings/$12,800 FanDuel)

I'm covering Young in a unique fashion this week. He's a top 10 player in my model, but he's the biggest name in the field and the betting favorite to take this event home again. I'm going to be fading Young in a way this week as a result. He's certainly going to be highly rostered, and I think as a result I prefer rostering him in non-single entry events as a result. He has some concerning metrics in his recent play, as his scoring numbers have been down relative to the field, and while he's got the best Strokes Gained in the field at Sedgefield, if I'm not in a situation to diversify my lineups, I'm going to look the other way.

Jackson Koivun ($10,100 DraftKings/$11,800 FanDuel)

The other way I'm mentioning above is Koivun, in case that wasn't clear. Koivun is one of the top 3 players in my model this week, and it's easy to see why. He's a top 25 putter in the field, one of the best approach players from 150-200 yards (ranking 9th), and he's scored at an elite rate since he turned pro. Perhaps most importantly, he has elite 3 putt avoidance numbers thus far, meaning he's even less likely to make big numbers than most in the field. I love the profile and given the need for him to have a good performance and his history performing under pressure, I can't fade the kid at all this week.

Ben Griffin ($9,100 DraftKings/$10,900 FanDuel)

It's not often that a player has a career like Ben Griffin does, and very few in this field have the history Griffin does at this event. He's recorded 3 top 12 finishes in 4 starts here, and he's started to find his form again in the 2nd half of the season. He's an elite bermuda putter, with strong approach and scoring numbers. Factoring in his recent play, with his historical performance at this venue and similar venues, it's wheels up for Griffin this week.

Tom Kim ($9,200 DraftKings/$10,800 FanDuel)

I told you this is an accuracy course, so did you really expect me not to have Kim highly ranked this week? Kim is the best approach player in the field, and it's honestly not particularly close. He ranks as a top driver in the field as well, and has won at this venue before. He's playing the best golf we've seen him play in some time, so what better time than right now for Tom Kim to shine yet again.

GOLF DFS PICKS THIS WEEK: MID-TIER

Aaron Rai ($8,800 DraftKings/$10,700 FanDuel)

Much like Tom Kim above, it's no surprise to see Rai here. Rai is another previous winner of this event, who is incredibly accurate off the tee and tends to be one of the better ball-strikers on tour. That said, the putter has been an issue for him of late, but it's hard to ignore that most of those struggles came overseas. Given the strength off the tee and on approach, I'll risk the putter being streaky this wek.

Brooks Koepka ($8,500 DraftKings/$10,200 FanDuel)

The story for Brooks is clear this week. He needs a strong performance to make playoffs, and the man surely loves some pressure given his history in Major Championships. He remains an elite ball-striker, and the driver has been a plus club for him of late. The short-game is the question mark, as it has been for most of the year, but we know his ceiling if that part cooperates.

Mac Meissner ($8,100 DraftKings/$10,300 FanDuel)

Meissner is another player on the cusp of the playoffs who needs a solid performance this week, but the argument for him is much clearer. He's played this venue twice, and finished T10th and as a runner up last year. That'll play considering he needs just roughly a top 40 finish this week. He approach play inside of 150 is top 5 in the field, and he's a top 30 player both putting and off the tee this week. That profile gives us a clear picture of why he's had success here, and I believe that he makes a ton of sense this week as a result.

GOLF DFS PICKS THIS WEEK: VALUE TIER

Blades Brown ($7,800 DraftKings/$9,800 FanDuel)

Another up and coming superstar should be in contention this week in Blades Brown. The kid just finds a way almost every single week to get himself near the top of the leaderboard. All parts of his game are strong, and while he doesn't have a clear superpower at this point, his finishes have not cared. Between the PGA and Korn Ferry Tour, he's recorded finishes of T22nd or better in 10 of his last 11 starts. He's finished T6th or better in his last two Korn Ferry starts, and choosing to play in this event could be a great chance for him to take that next step before gaining full PGA Tour status next season (if he remains performing as he has).

Christiaan Bezuidenhout ($7,500 DraftKings/$9,000 FanDuel)

Bez is the unlikely leader of my model this week. At least it feels that way until you realize he's a top 20 bermuda putter in the field, a top 10 approach player in the field, and a top 10 player in terms of Good Drives Gained. He's not had the best performances here in his career, but he has never missed the cut, and is coming in with much better recent performances than he has in previous iterations of this event.

Joel Dahmen ($6,500 DraftKings/$7,400 FanDuel)

Let's have some fun this week. Dahmen is the same player he's always been. He's accurate off the tee (top 5 in Driving Accuracy), accurate on approach (3rd in the field), and has historically played well at similar venues. There's a world where he makes the playoffs with a strong performance here, but even just a solid performance should lock up his card for 2027 as well. Plus, how can I fade the bucket hat?
