The first major of the PGA season kicks off at Augusta National with the Masters Tournament. The green jacket is one of the more iconic symbols in golf and the history of Augusta National is a story in itself. This year more than ever the Masters Tournament will draw the public’s attention with its inclusion of the LIV Tour golfers and of course, the return of Tiger Woods to a course that he dominated for the better part of a decade.

Tigers Woods Masters Tournament History

Augusta National is a course that Tiger, unlike any other, has dominated as his five green jackets trail one Jack Nicklaus for the most Masters Tournament victories. Woods' last Masters Tournament win came in 2019 and his first was 22 years prior in 1997. For the better part of a decade Tiger was consistently in the hunt, which included back-to-back wins in 2001 and 2002. From his 1997 win all the way to his 2019 win Tiger Woods finished inside the top five on 12 times and inside the top 10 a total of 13 times. The “Sunday Red” has been a staple at this course and after proving at The Genesis Invitational earlier this year that he still has what it takes to compete at the games highest levels, many are expecting Tiger to see the weekend and dawn the red shirt on Sunday at Augusta National against this season.

Tiger Woods Odds to win the Masters Tournament

Right now over on DraftKings Sportsbook Tiger Woods is +6000 to win the Masters Tournament which means a $100 bet would net you $6,000. He’s an obvious long shot given the questions surrounding his current health but given his course knowledge and the fact that he is hitting the ball as far as the elite golfers on tour right now it seems as though the health of his leg is really the only big question mark. For many, seeing what Tiger Woods did at The Genesis Open was enough to at least think he is capable of competing this year. If you want to take on a little less risk, Tiger is +1200 to finish in the top five and +500 to finish in the top 10.

Tiger Woods Masters 2023 Pairings

The Masters Tournament tee times and pairings should be exciting this season given the involvement of the LIV Golfers. Tiger Woods group will be teeing off at 10:18 AM ET and he will be paired with Viktor Hovland and Xander Schauffele.

Tigers Woods Masters Tournament DraftKings Salary

When it comes to DFS, DraftKings has priced Tiger Woods at $7,300 for the Masters Tournament. This price point is likely to entice many who want to get a piece of the Tiger action after he made the weekend at The Genesis Invitational which has been the only tournament he has played this season. Finding the value cut makers are key to building a successful DFS lineup and Tigers price is right in that low-tier spot that could attract a decent amount of rostership. The other golfers in this priced within $100 of Woods consist of Patrick Reed, Thomas Moore, Louis Oosthuizen, Mito Pereira, Si Woo Kim, Abraham Ancer and Keegan Bradley.

2023 Masters Tournament Predictions for Tiger Woods

So, we know the course history will play a big part in the narrative surrounding those who believe he is still capable of winning, and it’s true, Tiger really is a “horse for a course” when it comes to Augusta National but is that enough to get him his sixth green jacket and tie him with Jack Nicklaus for the most Masters Tournament victories? As much as I’d love to see it and would be cheering for him to do it, I think we are more likely to see a top 30 finish for Woods here. We’ve yet to see Tiger really put together four good rounds since his injury and while he continues to get healthier and healthier as time goes on, that question mark really needs to be answered before we can confidently say Tiger has what it takes to take on the best in the world for four days
