Welcome to Sunday’s three-game NHL Slate. It’s a short slate, but there are still some elite options to target and some good value. There is no shortage of ways to build your NHL DFS lineup, but we need to make sure we are making smart decisions. You can build daily fantasy hockey lineups on DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo Fantasy for Sunday, November 26th, but before you build those NHL daily fantasy lineups, don’t forget to check out our NHL DFS projections, the NHL Value Finder, and the NHL DFS lineup generator. Let's look closer at the daily fantasy hockey top plays for tonight's NHL DFS Showdown slate.

These short slates mean we are going to have players with really high ownership, but that doesn’t mean that we just fade them. The value players that we choose are going to help us take down a GPP, but we still need to get the elite player's rights. We have games that have some high totals, so let’s take a look at who we should be targeting.

Top Options for Saves

Elvis Merzlikins Vs. Carolina Hurricanes

Connor Hellebuyck Vs. Nashville Predators

John Gibson Vs. Edmonton Oilers

Best Odds for a Win

Stuart Skinner Vs. Anaheim Ducks

Antti Raanta Vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

Connor Hellebuyck Vs. Nashville Predators

Favorite Goalies to Use for DFS Lineups

Antti Raanta, G, Carolina Hurricanes

I absolutely hate the goaltending options tonight, but we need to make some choices. Antti Raanta might get the start and he’s probably going to allow some bad goals, but Carolina should win this game and that’s what we are targeting. He’s expensive, but I’m not taking the risk with Evlis Merzlikins.

Stuart Skinner, G, Edmonton Oilers

It’s the same story for the Edmonton Oilers. Do I think they can win this game on home ice? Of course, but could Stuart Skinner also be a trash can and let us down? Yes. It’s a question of value and Skinner has a good chance of winning this game. Edmonton was good in their last game so maybe they can carry that momentum into this one.

John Gibson, G, Anaheim Ducks

John Gibson has come back down to earth over his last two games, but do I think he can hit value by just hitting the save bonus? Very much so. We know how inconsistent the Oilers are, so we have to at least consider this angle. Gibson would need to keep his goals against to under three, which is entirely possible. It’s a risky play, but one that could pay off.

Connor Hellebuyck, G, Winnipeg Jets

Connor Hellebuyck is probably my favourite goalie option on the slate. He’s coming off a 33-save shutout against Florida and has another decent matchup against Nashville. The Jets are also  6-2-1 on the road, so there is a lot to love here. He’s going to be a popular play tonight, but don’t let that scare you away from playing him.

Highest Expected Goal Totals

Carolina Hurricanes  Vs Elvis Merzlikins (4.2)

Winnipeg Jets Vs. Juuse Saros (3.4)

Connor Hellebuyck Vs. Nashville Predators

Favorite Skaters to Use for DFS Lineups

Connor McDavid, C, Edmonton Oilers

Connor McDavid had four assists in his last game and looked more like the player we all know and love. There is no wrong choice between him and Leon Draisaitl, so just pick the one that fits your budget.

Mason McTavish, C, Anaheim Ducks

Mason McTavish is a WAGON right now. The kid is up to 21 points on the season and is playing some excellent hockey. We all know the Oilers can’t defend so he’s going to have a ton of chances to score goals and rack up points. Absolutely wild that we can still get him at under $7K on DraftKings.

Frank Vatrano, W, Anaheim Ducks

I’m just going to keep pounding away at the Ducks here because I can’t trust Stuart Skinner and his .875 SV%. Vatrano is up to 13 goals this season and he has a great chance of adding a few more to his total.

Filip Forsberg, W, Nashville Predators

Even if I decide to go with Connor Hellebuyck, I’ll still have some exposure to Filip Forsberg. The winger has 16 points in the last ten games, including a whopping 46 shots on goal. Even if he doesn’t score, he’s going to shoot the puck a ton and we like that. It’s also criminal that we can play him at under $8K on DK.

Zach Werenski, D, Columbus Blue Jackets

I love a defenceman who can contribute offensively and also block shots. Werenski finished the last game with four shots on goal and four blocked shots. He hit value without having to register a point. The Hurricanes should be able to control this game from start to finish, so I like the upside for Werenski here.

Ilya Lyubushkin, D, Anaheim Ducks

If the Oilers do decide to be good and just skate the puck up and down the ice, the Ducks are going to need to make sure they block shots. In comes Ilya Lyubushkin, who is very good at doing just that. His ice time has been under 20 minutes all season, but I still think there is enough upside to play him. You could go down the Radko Gusdas path, but he’s not a traditional shot blocker and I’m really trying to save salary so I can spend up on forwards.
