Welcome to Saturday's nine-game NHL Slate. There are some elite options to choose from Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche and David Pastrnak of the Boston Bruins, but we still need to find value. You can build daily fantasy hockey lineups on DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo Fantasy for Sunday, November 16th, but before you build those NHL daily fantasy lineups, don’t forget to check out our NHL DFS projections, the NHL Value Finder, and the NHL DFS lineup generator. Let's look closer at the daily fantasy hockey top plays for tonight's NHL DFS Showdown slate.

NHL DFS Playbook November 18th
DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts

We have a great slate with some elite players to choose from. The Winnipeg Jets are playing the tail end of a back-to-back, but are in a favorable matchup. Vancouver hosts the Seattle Kraken who allow the 7th most goals per game in the league. We also have Jack Hughes potentially making his return after missing several games with an upper-body injury. Let’s take a look at which players we need to be focusing on.

Recommended DFS Starting Goalies

Top Options for Saves

Jake Allen Vs. Boston Bruins
Tristan Jarry Vs. Carolina Hurricanes
Karel Vejmelka Vs. Winnipeg Jets

Best Odds for a Win

Jeremy Swayman Vs. Montreal Canadiens
Cam Talbot Vs. St. Louis Blues
Antti Raanta Vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Favorite Goalies to Use for DFS Lineups
Jeremy Swayman, G, Boston Bruins

Jeremy Swayman has a .944 SV% and 1.69 GAA. He did lose in overtime in this same matchup a week ago but the Canadiens are still a bad team. The Bruins are huge favorites in this game, as you would expect, and I think the Canadiens will struggle in this game in Boston.

Ilya Sorokin, G, New York Islanders

Ilya Sorokin has been a little underwhelming this year, but his salary is appealing. Calgary has looked a little better of late with two straight wins, but the Islanders make things difficult for a lot of teams. It's a little risky as he's allowed four goals in four of his last five games, but he's much more talented than his numbers suggest.

Thatcher Demko, G, Vancouver Canucks

Thatcher Demko has looked amazing this year. He's 8-3-0 on the season and holds a .932 SV% and 2.04 GAA. The Kraken are near the bottom of the league averaging only 2.56 goals per game and will have their work cut out for them. The Canucks are -160 favorites in this game and I have no issue getting to Demko on home ice, where he is undefeated.

Recommended DFS Skaters
Highest Expected Goal Totals

Boston Bruins Vs. Jake Allen (4.1)
L.A. Kings Vs. Jordan Binnington (3.9)
Winnipeg Jets Vs. Karel Vejmelka (3.8)

Favorite Skaters to Use for DFS Lineups

J.T. Miller, C, Vancouver Canucks

J.T. Miller is having himself a season. He's up to 10 goals and 17 assists and shows no signs of slowing. The Kraken allow 3.50 goals per game and have one of the worst penalty kills at 71.9%. You could pay up for Elias Pettersson, which I have no problem with, but Miller has just as many points and saves you some salary.

Vincent Trochek, C, New York Rangers

Trochek has been fantastic since Filip Chytil went down to injury. In four games without Chytil, he's gathered three goals and four assists and even has a block in each. He centers the second line with red-hot Artemi Panarin and is very involved in the first power-play unit.

Artemi Panarin, W, New York Rangers

Like I said above, Artemi Panarin is red-hot. He's had two points in four straight games and one of the safest floors for fantasy production all season. His price on DraftKings has increased dramatically, but he's been worth every penny.

Brad Marchand, W, Boston Bruins

Brad Marchand is too cheap on DraftKings. He recorded two goals and four assists over his last four games and skates beside David Pastrnak. We just saw this matchup a week ago where he had two points and the Bruins lost in OT. I cannot imagine the Bruins dropping another game to Montreal and I expect them to come out firing.

Sean Durzi, D, Arizona Coyotes

Sean Durzi does it all. He's had assists in four of his last five games and is a constant threat to grab the blocked shot bonus. Winnipeg loves to shoot the puck so he should have plenty of chances to grab the bonus in this game. They also have one of the worst penalty kills and allow 3.19 goals per game, giving him upside at both ends of the ice.

Erik Gustafsson, D, New York Rangers

The New York Rangers suffered a big loss when Adam Fox went down to injury. Erik Gustafsson slid into Fox's spot on the first power-play unit and has been shining since. He's had an assist in all four games since taking Fox's spot and is too cheap considering his role.
