Thursday's 13-game NHL slate is loaded with top-tier scorers featuring a great matchup as Leon Draisaitl and the Edmonton Oilers face Dylan Larkin and the Detroit Red Wings. We should expect lots of tight games with some great matchups out there, but expect some of the top scorers to shine through still. So, be sure to check in with our NHL DFS Tools, with the daily NHL projections, and our NHL lineup generator when building those lineups today to help you decide which players you should be targeting!

DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts

With 13 games today, there could be a lot of variance. The betting numbers say to focus on Carolina facing Anaheim, and Edmonton in Detroit. I don't love the use of Carolina too much in DFS today, Anaheim goalies have played well and the Hurricanes also manage to have their scoring spread out. The Oilers though make a lot of sense to me. Going to their stars in Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Zach Hyman, and Evan Bouchard can pay off as the Red Wings have been giving up a lot of goals. The other matchup that I really like is Buffalo at home against Ottawa. The Sabres have been putting nearly 40 shots per game on goal, and in the last two weeks no one has a higher goals against per game than Ottawa, so make sure you get some Sabres into your lineups today.

Recommended DFS Starting Goalies,

Top Options for Saves

Anton Forsberg vs Buffalo Sabres

Ilya Sorokin vs Toronto Maple Leafs

Thatcher Demko vs Pittsburgh Penguins

Best Odds for a Win

Laurent Brossoit vs Chicago Blackhawks

Pyotr Kochetkov vs Anaheim Ducks

Igor Shesterkin vs St. Louis Blues

Favorite Goalies to Use for DFS Lineups

Ilya Sorokin G, New York Islanders

This season Sorokin has been a very different goalie at home than on the road. He has a 0.915 save percentage at home, and he should have plenty of upside going against a Toronto team that has put 37 shots on goal on average in their last six games.

Cam Talbot G, Los Angeles Kings

The Kings have been road warriors all season, and Talbot's 0.934 save percentage in road games is a big reason for it. He won't cost you much as the Kings are facing a red-hot Panthers team, but in a GPP I think he is well worth his price.

Laurent Brossoit G, Winnipeg Jets

Broissoit is having another great year, and he will get a matchup against a Chicago team that looks more like an AHL club than an NHL club with all of their injuries. In cash games, I would be willing to pay up for Brossoit.

Recommended DFS Skaters

Highest Expected Goal Totals

Carolina Hurricanes vs John Gibson (4.4)

Edmonton Oilers vs Alex Lyon (4.1)

Winnipeg Jets vs Petr Mrazek (3.8)

Favorite Skaters to Use for DFS Lineups

Leon Draisaitl, C, Edmonton Oilers

Even in a down year Draisaitl is still among the most consistent goal scorers in the league. He has goals in four of his last five games, and he will face a Detroit team that has been giving up 3.5 goals per game in recent weeks.

Cole Perfetti, W, Winnipeg Jets

You are going to get Perfetti at a great price today against a Chicago team that has easily the worst roster in the NHL right now. Perfetti has scored four goals in his last three games, and he could be in for a big night again today.

Alex Tuch, W, Buffalo Sabres

I think there are lots of great options on the Sabres today, and Tuch is definitely one of them. He has points in three straight games, and he is coming off a six-shot game as well. Look for Tuch and other Sabres to be a good value today.

Noah Dobson D, New York Islanders

This is a great matchup for Dobson. He is a player who will block shots, facing a team in Toronto who has been taking plenty of them. He is also a player who gets points, facing a Toronto team that has had a dreadful goalie sitaution this season. Dobson is the type of player you might want to have in most of your lineups today.
