Today's two-game NHL DFS slate is highlighted by Alex Ovechkin who is due for another big night. Also don't miss out on some of the great value plays available on defence today with Ryan Lindgren of the Rangers facing the Kings. As always don't forget you can use the lineup generator to help put your lineup together as well.

Bruins at Capitals

The Bruins seem to be seeing some short-term gain from breaking up the perfection line. Taylor Hall now has four points in his last three games, while Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak both have three goals in their last three games. Pastrnak also notably has 16 shots in that three-game span which is always good news. The Capitals seem to of hit a bit of a scoring drought. Ovechkin is still going to be very usable, but he has just one point in his last three games, and he only has one game with more than five shots in his last five games also. If you’re going to stack with the Capitals, you will want to look at either Evgeny Kuznetsov or T.J. Oshie who both look to be playing with Ovi tonight.

On Defence, we do not yet know if Charlie McAvoy is going to be playing tonight, if he is then he is going to be usable for the Bruins, if not you will want to look at Matt Grzelcyk. John Carlson continues to be the target on defence for the Capitals with few other of their defence offering any real value.

In goal, we will have Linus Ullmark going for the Bruins tonight facing Zach Fucale of the Capitals. Ullmark is coming off a good start against the Lightning where he stopped 93 percent of the shots he saw, and he has also won three straight games. Fucale has played well in three starts, and with this game at home I wouldn’t completely count him out, but I would be weary with the Bruins scoring 5 goals in three of their last four games.

Kraken at Avalanche

The pace at which the Avalanche has been scoring is getting ridiculous. They have been scoring more than six goals per game on average for more than a month. The top line of Rantanen, Landeskog and MacKinnon each have seven points in the last three games, and at this point, it would be more of a surprise for them to get no points than for them to have a big night again. You can also look at Kadri and Burakovsky who have also been productive but to a lesser degree. This is going to be a tough game for Seattle. They haven’t played in a week and they will face the hottest team in the league. I would expect all of Seattle’s played to have low ownership, but you can look at Jordan Eberle and Jared McCann, or on the second line Yanni Gourde and Calle Jarnkrok.

Typically you with the Avs you would look to Cale Makar for his points upside, and that isn’t any different tonight, but we have seen production from Erik Johnson who has four points in his last three games, and he has three blocks in three of his last five games as well. For Seattle Mark Giordano might be a good buy, he will contribute points, blocks and shots. Otherwise, you can look at Adam Larsson or Jamie Oleksiak for blocked shots.

Pavel Francouz will get the start for the Avalanche tonight. He is will likely be highly owned, and if you’re playing in a cash game I would buy into that with Colorado being a heavy favourite. It should be Philipp Grubauer in net for the Kraken, but I wouldn’t be willing to use him, revenge game or not.

Rangers at Kings

It looks like the Rangers will get Artemi Panarin back tonight when they face the Kings in Los Angeles. We have seen the Rangers play well in his absence with plenty of big games from Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad. We have also seen Barcley Goodrow move up to the second line, and be productive along with Ryan Strome. All five of those players are in play tonight, it’s just a matter of mixing and matching with all of them except Goodrow being on the top powerplay. For the Kings, goals have gotten hard to come by lately. Dustin Brown has three points in his last two games, and Phillip Danualt has 10 shots on his last two games which makes both of them very good values.

On defence, you are going to look to Adam Fox if you’re looking for points, nothing new there. If you’re playing on DK and looking to get some cheap blocks though you can look at Ryan Lindgren or Patrick Nemeth, both of which will block shots, but Lindgren seeing more minutes. For the Kings, Drew Doughty is the target. He has points in four straight games, and he will provide you with shots and blocks as well.

With Igor Shesterkin injured we can expect to see Alexander Georgiev in goal tonight for the Rangers. Georgiev has played well in three of his last four games and is an option tonight. We can expect Jontathan Quick to be in goal for the Kings tonight. He didn’t have a great start against Nashville his last time out, but had played well in the two games previous. He isn’t a bad start tonight as he is at home and he likely won’t be highly owned.
