🔥 Montreal Canadiens vs. Buffalo Sabres Prediction

There is no way to sugarcoat things, the Canadiens have been the superior team in this series and with the exit looming for the Sabres we have a interesting Game 6 matchup to jump into here!

Game 5 produced full on domination for the Habs as they collected 5.41 expected goals in all situations compared to just 3.46 for Buffalo. Their goaltender swap was curious at best but expect Alex Lyon in there tonight. That move give the Sabres a fighting chance as Lyon is saving 0.397 goals above expected per 60 minutes which is in the top 10 of goalies this postseason. I expect a decent performance from him in a must win game and with Montreal posting 29.8 shots per game this series I am inclined to believe that Lyon can go over his prop of 25.5 saves this evening. 

In addition to that prop let's use that narrative to take a player prop on the Montreal side as we expect them to control play for the most part. Juraj Slafkovky is the name I am interested in tonight as he's led the Habs in expected goals this postseason but he also have 16 shots on goal this series through five games. His prop on shots sits at just 2.5 which is bold for the sports books so let's make them pay and take the over on the youngster here tonight in a pivotal game.
