🔥 Colorado Avalanche vs Edmonton Oilers Prediction

The Colorado Avalanche will field a fairly complete lineup, but since they have nothing significant left to play for, it’s possible they won’t use Nathan MacKinnon for 23 minutes. Meanwhile, the Edmonton Oilers have secured a playoff spot, but the division lead is still competitive, so we can expect them to put forth their best effort. Getting them at plus money is a nice bonus.

🔥 Carolina Hurricanes vs Philadelphia Flyers Prediction

The Carolina Hurricanes will rest some of their regular players, as they have nothing to gain from the game. This opens the door for the Flyers to secure their playoff spot. Philadelphia has won four of its last five games and has been effective at scoring. Brandon Bussi, the rookie goaltender, has recently struggled, and with a weakened lineup in front of him, it could be a challenging night. We're going to take a chance and predict that the Flyers will cover the puck line in regulation.

🏅Goalie of the Day: Casey DeSmith - DAL

Casey DeSmith has faced some challenges in his recent games, but a matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs could be just what he needs to get back on track. He has lost his last five starts; however, he has performed well in the last three, and his road statistics are impressive. The Maple Leafs are dealing with injuries, allow a significant number of quality scoring chances, and seem to lack competitive intensity. Even if Dallas has nothing at stake, we can still expect them to show up and get the job done.

🏅Honourable Mention: Dan Vladar - PHI

The Flyers have a lot to play for, so we can expect them to give their best performance. Dan Vladar is confirmed as the starting goalie, and he has been outstanding in four of his last five games. This is a great opportunity for both him and the team, so don't hesitate to include him in all formats.

🏅Skater of the Day: Adrian Kempe - LAK

This spot is typically reserved for either Nathan MacKinnon or Connor McDavid, both of whom are solid options tonight. However, we can't overlook what Adrian Kempe has been doing recently. The Kings have a significant opportunity to secure their playoff spot with a win against the Seattle Kraken, who are turning to rookie Nikke Kokko in goal. While Kokko performed well in his first start, he may be slightly overmatched tonight.

Kempe has been impressive, recording eight goals and four assists over his last 10 games, contributing to the Kings' current four-game winning streak. Although his shot volume can be inconsistent, if he scores, it might not matter at all.

🏅Honourable Mention: Connor McDavid - EDM

We cannot overlook McDavid in the Playbook, especially on a night where so much is at stake. In his last 10 games, McJesus has scored 8 goals and provided 10 assists, averaging over 22 fantasy points during that stretch. With Cal McKar absent from the lineup, McDavid will have even more room to maneuver. If this game turns into a high-scoring affair, McDavid could truly stand out.

🏅Value Play of the Day: Porter Martone - PHI

“We are leaving Porter Martone here until his price tag explodes to $6K on DraftKings.”

I discussed this in the Playbook on Saturday, and my stance remains the same. Porter Martone has scored in back-to-back games and now has seven points in as many games. Despite his success, DK hasn’t increased his price enough for him to be seen as anything other than a value play. He’s also been shooting the puck frequently, which helps maintain his floor. As long as he’s in the lineup and playing, he should be included in your DFS lineup.
