There are a handful of big matchups for some select offenses tonight so those will be the targets in daily fantasy of course. We have some very good matchups to cover, so let’s get into the action.

NHL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 11/11

 

Ducks vs. Avalanche Prediction 

These pair of teams have been super fun to watch this season and this matchup could see some fireworks tonight! The Ducks lead the NHL is goal per game at 4.13 and also have over 30 shots on goal per game. The Avalanche are scoring 4 goals per game which is 2nd in the league behind just the Ducks of course. These numbers set the table for a shootout and seeing their game total trends I am inclined to think the trends continue. The Ducks on the road have gone over the total in 6 of 9 games while the Avalanche are 3-3 to the over at home. The total of 6.5 is as high as you'll see for a hockey game but these offenses should clear the mark so let's go over here tonight. 

Pick: Ducks & Avalanche Over 6.5 Goals (-125 on BetMGM)

Jets vs. Canucks Prediction

To put things nicely this matchup is extremely lopsided and even on the road the Jets should win this game without issue. The Canucks have lost 3 of their last 5 games with wins coming against the Blue Jackets and Predators, a pair of teams that pale in comparison to the Jets. Vancouver is scoring just 2.82 goals per game while Winnipeg allows 2.43 goals per game on the road, the 5th fewest in the NHL. All the while the Jets are posting 3.13 goals per game and are due a win after falling in 3 straight games. With the defense and goaltending alone its a tough ask for this Vancouver team so give me the Jets on the Money Line tonight.

Today's NHL DFS Cheat Sheet & Stacks

Goalie of The Day: Frederik Andersen - CAR

Selecting a goalie tonight is going to be tricky with so many high game totals projected but that is not the case for this matchup between Washington and Carolina. The Capitals offense hasn't gotten going yet this season as they're scoring just 2.57 goals per game on the road so far despite nearly posting 30 shots per game. The Hurricanes also play tremendous defense allowing just 2.8 goals per game and 2.69 expected goals at even strength. Andersen is a steady play without a ton of risk so he's my play of the day in the net. 

Player of The Day: Nathan MacKinnon - COL

As I mentioned above in my best bets this game is going to be played fast and should net a ton of scoring chances. The Ducks play offense first and the defense is suspect at best. MacKinnon comes into tonight with a 10 game point streak that has netted him 19 points during that span and has topped 40 DFS points in back to back games prior to this matchup. Ducks allow the 9th most DFS points to centers this season, they are not stopping MacKinnon.  

Value Play of The Day: Matt Coronato - CGY

Any game against the Blues is a good matchup right now as they allow the most goals per game in the NHL at 3.88! That means the Flames who are not normally on my radar actually are tonight and the prices are CHEAP! Coronato hasn't blown up the stat sheets but he does have 18 shots on goal in the last 3 games and works on the top powerplay unit for the Flames. I feel like you could do much worse at 4.1k tonight over on DraftKings than a winger against the Blues.
