🔥Montreal Canadiens vs Carolina Hurricanes Prediction

I haven't placed many player prop bets this season, and the few I have made haven't turned out well, similar to Frederik Andersen's performances. However, we can't overlook this opportunity. The Canadiens are a high-scoring team, largely due to their strong power play, which ranks among the best in the league on the road. Nick Suzuki has accumulated 39 points while on the man advantage, with 25 of those points coming away from home. The offence often revolves around him, and if the Habs face Andersen on a back-to-back, we could witness a high-scoring game. While the Hurricanes excel at penalty killing, I'm confident that Suzuki will deliver.

🔥Nashville Predators vs Tampa Bay Lightning Prediction

We’re uncertain if Nikita Kucherov will be healthy enough to play, but even without him, the Tampa Bay Lightning remain a dominant team. They perform exceptionally well at home, while the Nashville Predators struggle in most defensive categories. Nashville needs to secure wins to stay in the playoff race, but they looked poor against Montreal less than 24 hours ago, so it’s hard to trust them in this situation. Expect Tampa Bay to take care of business and score early and often.

🏅Goalie of the Day: Casey DeSmith - DAL

Casey DeSmith has faced challenges in his last three starts, but this matchup presents an excellent opportunity for him to bounce back. He has an impressive 8-2-5 record on the road, along with a .916 save percentage. Additionally, he is up against the Flyers, a team that averages fewer than 26 shots per game. Since Dallas is the superior overall team, if the game turns into a shootout, they have a good chance of winning. DeSmith is also reasonably priced at $8,000, making him the best option by a considerable margin.

 

🏅Honourable Mention: Jet Greaves - CBJ

The goalie options are not great today, but there are some matchups we can take advantage of. The Blue Jackets are expected to start Jet Greaves since Elvis Merzlikins played yesterday, and Greaves has had strong performances this season. In his last six starts, he has allowed three or more goals only once. He is doing a good job of keeping the puck out of his net, which is exactly what we want from a goalie. While Boston can score goals, which makes this a risky pick, if Greaves manages to secure a win, he will deliver good value.

 

🏅Skater of the Day: Coel Caufield - MTL

Although it may not be Saturday night, Cole Caufield is still capable of scoring. In his last seven games, he has found the net as many times. He can score from any position on the ice, and even though the Hurricanes have a strong defensive lineup, Frederik Andersen has struggled and could be easily overwhelmed. In the last matchup between these teams, Caufield recorded two points, and we might see a similar performance from him tonight.

 

🏅Honourable Mention: David Pastrnak - BOS

If I were certain that Nikita Kucherov would play tonight, I would include him here. However, if you can’t finalize your lineup before the lock, I recommend playing it safe with David Pastrnak. While I do like Greaves, Pastrnak is a proven shooter who knows how to get the puck past the goalie. He’s just one goal away from reaching 30 goals this season, and his shooting percentage on the road is 15.8%, which is significantly higher than his 9.2% shooting percentage at home. Even if he doesn’t take a lot of shots, he has the potential to accumulate points and thereby increase his chances of providing good value.

 

🏅Value Play of the Day: Zachary L’Heureux - NSH

As the playoff race intensifies, the Predators must boost their offensive performance to secure more victories. Zachary L’Heureux has earned an opportunity to demonstrate his abilities by playing on the top line alongside Steven Stamkos and Ryan O’Reilly. Although he isn’t receiving any time on the power play, which limits his overall impact, Nashville opted to use 11 forwards in their recent game. If they choose to do the same tonight, L’Heureux could log nearly 15 minutes of ice time. Priced at just $2,500 on DraftKings, he offers excellent value and could potentially propel you up the GPP leaderboard.
