Nashville Predators vs Dallas Stars Devils Prediction

Despite being without Tyler Seguin and Mikko Rantanen, the Dallas Stars continue to accumulate wins. After the break, they defeated the Seattle Kraken, extending their winning streak to seven games. While they don't generate a high volume of shots, they consistently find the back of the net. Their power play is operating at an impressive 30%, so if Nashville fails to maintain discipline, they could be in for a tough game. Jake Oettinger is confirmed to start in goal, and his performance at home has been solid. Overall, Dallas is the stronger team, making them a great value at plus money to win in regulation.

Goalie of the Day: Philipp Grubauer - SEA

The goalie market for tonight isn't ideal, so we need to be extra cautious in our selection. While several options are available, one player stands out: Philipp Grubauer. The Seattle netminder has impressive stats at home, sporting a 1.97 GAA and a .931 SV%. These numbers are significantly better than his on-the-road performance. Grubauer will face off against the Vancouver Canucks, who are averaging 2.53 goals per game but are currently dealing with injuries and resting players ahead of the trade deadline. Overall, Grubauer provides good value in this slate and is a reliable choice in all formats.

Honourable Mention: Linus Ullmark - OTT

The Battle of Ontario takes center stage tonight in what promises to be an exciting matchup. The total goals opened at 5.5 but has since surged to 6.5. The Leafs are a stronger team at home and boast elite players who are capable of finding the back of the net. However, the Senators excel at suppressing shots, allowing fewer than 25 per game, which is advantageous for any goalie. Linus Ullmark has conceded just five goals over his last three starts, but due to facing so few shots, he needs a win to perform well. If you decide to take this route, be aware that it carries risks and could end in disappointment.

Player of the Day: Nikita Kucherov - TBL

Nikita Kucherov continues to deliver impressive performances, consistently accumulating points in each game. The Tampa Bay Lightning are set to face the Sabres, who are coming off a back-to-back game. Kucherov has recorded four points in his last two games and is expected to have plenty of quality scoring opportunities. Although his shot volume isn't particularly high, he remains a significant threat to earn multiple points in the game. Despite his higher price tag, he stands out as the best option for cash games by a significant margin.

Honourable Mention: Jason Robertson - DAL

The Dallas Stars are on a winning streak and are in a great position tonight. The Predators tend to give up a significant number of scoring chances, and their goaltending has not been up to par this season. With Mikko Rantanen out of the lineup, Jason Robertson will be relied upon even more, and he is fully capable of stepping up. He is a strong candidate to score tonight and could also flirt with earning the shot bonus.

Value Play of the Day: Nazem Kadri - CGY

Nazem Kadri is priced at $5,200, which may not seem like a significant discount, but it's actually a great value. The Flames have been struggling to score goals, while the Kings have allowed 14 goals in just two games since returning from the break. You don't need to be a math expert to realize that's not good. Kadri can shoot the puck and is expected to contribute offensively. I like his chances of getting on the scoresheet and providing value for his price.
