Sabres vs. Oilers Prediction 

After their yearly slow start the Oilers are starting to get going here and what a matchup to continue the momentum against the Sabres! In the past 10 games the Oilers have 38 total goals and they have needed to as the defense hasn't been great. The Sabres on the other hand have scored 31 goals in the same time period but their expected goals total is a whopping 42.9! That is the highest figure in the NHL right now and it sets the table for a high scoring affair most likely with each defense allowing over 3.5 goals per game. Stars should shine tonight and the goaltending is optional, let's hit that over on the 6.5 goals.

Stars vs. Jets Prediction 

This is a matchup of two teams heading in completely different directions tonight as the Stars visit the Jets. The Stars are a house of fire right now and winners of 8 of their last 10 games. During that time period they've outscored the opposition 38-19 or simply 2 to 1, and its been something to see. The Jets meanwhile have lost 7 of 10 and are floundering offensively with just 2.6 goals per game. I like the Stars to stay hot and get after Eric Comrie in net with his 3.08 GAA as Hellebuyck will not play for Winnipeg. Stars on that Money Line please!

Goalie of The Day - Jeremy Swayman - BOS

Let's give some love to the pride of Anchorage, Alaska today in the playbook! Swayman has been excellent of late allowing just 11 goals in his last 5 starts while winning 3 of them and holding down a solid GAA and SV%. Tonight he should continue his run as the Blues come to town with one of the worst offenses in hockey. Over the past 10 games St. Louis is averaging 2.2 goals per game so seems like a perfect set up for a red hot goaltender. 

Player of The Day: Connor McDavid - EDM

Believe it or not I have not played McDavid much this DFS season but tonight you must not ignore the matchup. As I mentioned in best bets this game could be the highest scoring on the slate with both defenses just drowning right now. McDavid is also 1k cheaper than MacKinnon tonight and has 9 points over his last 5 games with the Sabres allowing the 10th most DFS points per game to centers on the season. Lock in the mutli-time MVP and let's ride.  

Value Play of The Day: Will Smith - SJ

The Flyers very good defense from early in the season is starting to unravel here and I think this matchup is a sneaky one for both Sharks and Flyers players. Philadelphia over the past 10 games has an expected goals against mark of 4.14 goals per game, which is by far the highest in the NHL. Enter Will Smith who plays alongside Macklin Celebrini and has 4 goals in the last 5 games, hard to ignore the play at just 5.2k over on DraftKings.
