🔥 San Jose Sharks vs Los Angeles Kings Prediction

I told myself that I would no longer support the San Jose Sharks after their poor performance on Monday, yet here I am, two days later, backing them again. Do I hate myself for wanting to trust them once more? Absolutely, but the numbers can’t be ignored, and they favour San Jose tonight. 

The Kings are one of the worst teams on home ice, currently holding a 1-4-0 record. Their top players also struggle to generate offence in front of their home crowd. While I know the Sharks have defensive issues and goaltending has been a problem, the Kings are receiving way too much attention tonight; we can take advantage of that. We're embarking on this journey again, and hopefully, it ends with a win.

🔥 Calgary Flames vs Seattle Kraken Prediction

We just started November, and these two teams are already meeting for the fourth time. Each matchup has been high-scoring, and there’s every reason to expect that trend to continue tonight. It’s surprising that Joel Farabee is only -125 to collect a single point.

He is averaging over a point per game and is a key player on the top power-play unit, which is currently operating at over 30%. Adding to this appeal is that Seattle's penalty kill is only 64.1%. Given these factors, it would be a missed opportunity to pass up such great value when all signs indicate that Farabee is likely to exceed this mark before the end of the night.

 

 

 

🏒Today's NHL DFS Cheat Sheet & Stacks

🏅Goalie of the Day: Jacob Markstrom - FLA

The goalie options available for this slate aren't great, so the goal is to pick the least bad one. Jacob Markstrom has decent numbers this season, with a save percentage (SV%) of .890; however, it drops to .873 at home. The silver lining is that the Chicago Blackhawks are visiting, and they struggle to score goals. They also don't generate many shots, which could limit Markstrom's overall performance. Nevertheless, if you're looking to secure a win, he is the best option you'll find.

🏅Honourable Mention: Yaroslav Askarov - SJ

Once again, we're putting our trust in a San Jose goalie. Yaroslav Askarov is 4-6-0 this season, but his overall stats aren't too bad. Notably, he performs better on the road, which bodes well for us. As I mentioned earlier, the Kings struggle at home, so if you believe the Sharks have a chance to win, it might be a good idea to double down and choose Askarov as your goalie.

🏅Skater of the Day: Tage Thompson - BUF

The Buffalo Sabres had an excellent road trip, particularly Tage Thompson, who scored eight points in three games and had 18 shots on goal. He is a high-volume shooter with a knack for finding the back of the net. While the Ottawa Senators are not a bad team, their goaltending situation has been chaotic since Linus Ullmark suffered an injury. You can confidently build your lineup around Thompson.

🏅Honourable Mention: Sam Reinhart - FLA

Sam Reinhart has scored three goals in his last three games and is eager to continue this streak. The Blackhawks allow a lot of scoring chances, but Reinhart doesn’t need many opportunities to find the net. As a low-volume shooter, he needs to score to increase his value.

🏅Value Play of the Day: Zach Benson - BUF

If you can't afford Tage Thompson and are looking to fade him, consider targeting Zach Benson. Like Thompson, he had an impressive road trip, accumulating six points on 12 shots. Although he has scored only two goals this season, he has been exceptional at setting up plays, with 11 assists. If he can secure at least one point and a reasonable number of shots, he will meet value and have fulfilled his role effectively.

🏅Top Stack of the Day: CGY PP1

A few high-quality but expensive player stacks are available, but the best value is by far in Calgary's top power-play unit. They are currently operating at a 30% success rate and have a favourable matchup against a team that struggles significantly when short-handed. While I'm not promising the Flames will excel on the power play, if they convert on a couple of chances, it could propel your lineup to the top of the leaderboard.
