NHL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 11/24

Philadelphia Flyers vs Tampa Bay Lightning Prediction

The Philadelphia Flyers aren’t an elite hockey team, but they can win this game tonight. The Tampa Bay Lightning are banged up, and that’s putting it lightly. They are without a ton of regulars, and Bryaden Point is the latest to hit the injury list. Nikita Kucherov is expected to play, but who knows if he’s 100%. Philadelphia is healthy, and this game should be a low-scoring event. I’ll take my chances with the Flyers and hope they don’t let me down.

Ottawa Senators vs Los Angeles Kings Prediction

I have no idea how the Los Angeles Kings are favourites when they have exactly ONE  win at home this year. The Senators are on a California road trip, and they are 2-0 so far. They’ve been decent, and they are getting some saves from their goalie. Like the Flyers, betting the Senators to win is a good edge, so we’ll take it and hope for the best

 

 

 

Today's NHL DFS Cheat Sheet & Stacks

Goalie of The Day: Igor Shesterkin - NYR

Listen, I understand that the New York Rangers are a flaming pile of Evan Bouchard defensively (terrible) on home ice, but the Blues are in town, and Joel Hofer is in goal. Igor Shesterkin isn’t the problem; he needs some support! Maybe his record will keep his ownership low, which is good news for us. He’s my favourite option tonight in cash games by a wide margin.

Honourable Mention: Samuel Ersson - PHI

Piggybacking on the Flyers Money Line bet, if you think they can beat the Lightning, then you also believe that Samuel Ersson can win. His numbers to this point of the season have not been good, so there’s a ton of risk here. He’s also $700 on DraftKings, so if he does win and doesn’t give up 5 goals, he will hit value. He’s a GPP play that could spring you to the top of the leaderboard.

Player of The Day: Zach Werenski - CBJ

Zach Werenski is a stud, and he is in a great spot tonight. He has 12 points, 53 shots on goal and 10 blocked shots on the road this season, a much higher clip than his home numbers. The Capitals are a tough opponent, meaning he’s going to be on the ice a lot and can hit value without needing to register a point. He’s my lock on the blue line in all formats. 

Honourable Mention: Anthony Cirelli - TBL

Anthony Cirelli is getting a chance to centre the top line and top power play unit. He’s under $5K on DK and is coming off a two-point performance last game. The Flyers aren’t anything great, and as we mentioned earlier, Ersson has struggled this season. Just because I think the Flyers win doesn’t mean I expect them not to allow some goals. I like him as a single bullet in all formats.

Value Play of The Day: Nick Paul - TBL

Sticking with the Lightning, Nick Paul is under $3K on DK, and he’s in a great spot to hit value. He’s in the same boat as Cirelli, just even cheaper. He’s skating on the third line, but that only means he should see more favourable matchups. If you can’t afford Cirelli, he’s the next-best option.
