Published: Nov 23, 2025
Welcome to the Fantasy Alarm NHL Playbook. This is your one-stop shop for everything DFS related for tonight's 5-game slate. We’ve had a few of these small slates over the last couple of weeks, but that doesn’t mean everyone is comfortable tackling those slates. That’s where the Playbook comes in! Let’s dive into the action and see which players we need to keep an eye on.
For the NHL Bets, we have one good matchup to target. It’s been a grind to this point, but we don’t get discouraged; we keep chipping away. You can get every expert pick, including mine, right here.

NHL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 11/23
Boston Bruins vs San Jose Sharks Prediction
The San Jose Sharks are a fun team to watch, but they are still a young team, and the growing pains are real. They are scoring under three goals per game and averaging the fewest shots on goal. The Bruins have been a nice surprise to this point, and their California trip has been a mild success. Morgan Geekie has become a goal-scoring machine, while Jeremy Swayman has demonstrated that he can be the top dog in goal. San Jose is playing their second game in as many nights and third in four, so fatigue may start to creep in. We’ll take the Bruins to cover the Money Line.

Today's NHL DFS Cheat Sheet & Stacks
Goalie of The Day: Scott Wedgewood - COL
I know I sound like a broken record, but when the Colorado Avalanche are in action, you need a piece of them if you want any hope of cashing. Colorado is playing a back-to-back, but that doesn’t mean Scott Wedgewood can’t put together a strong performance. His road numbers are elite, and the Chicago Blackhawks' offence is decent, but nothing elite. He’s expensive, but you know exactly what you’re getting from him.
Player of The Day: Nathan MacKinnon - COL
We can’t NOT have Nathan MacKinnon as the top player on this slate. He leads the league in points and is averaging over 21 fantasy points per game on DraftKings. Even at $9600, he’s underpriced. Nate Dog is on another level, and I can understand why that’s annoying. If you want to pay up for him, I can’t blame you.Â
Honourable Mention: Elias Pettersson - VAN
It’s been a nice bounce-back season for Elias Pettersson. He has 20 points on the season and is contributing in so many ways. We know he can fill the back of the net, but he’s also blocking a high number of shots. His home numbers aren’t elite, but the Flames are playing the tail end of a back-to-back, and their goaltending has been a mess all season. EP40 can hit value in multiple ways, so I’ll gladly spend $6600 for him on DK.
Value Play of The Day: Philipp Kurashev - SJ
Philipp Kurashev has 12 points this season, 11 of which have come on home ice. He’s not an elite offensive player, but he’s skating on the top line with the two best forwards (Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith, in case you were confused) and sees a healthy amount of ice time. For $3400 on DK, we can do a lot worse. A couple of shots on goal and an assist are all he needs to hit value.Â
