Welcome to another season of NHL DFS! For those of you who are new, thank you for being here! You won’t find a better community. If you’re returning, you already know the routine. Nothing has changed from last season, so get ready for another year of Best Bets, DFS recommendations, and the unpredictable nature of goalies.

Before we dive into the fun, I want to remind everyone that the start of the season is often very volatile. We’ll be using last season's data, and not everything will translate perfectly to the 2026-27 season (unless we’re talking about Edmonton’s goaltending situation being #NotGood, which remains consistent). Be cautious with your bankroll in the first week of action. We have an entire year ahead of us, so let’s take it slow and build up to something great, like prom night. Keep units small so your wins can grow as the season progresses.

🔥 Utah Mammoth vs New York Rangers Prediction

We’re only two games into the regular season, but the Utah Mammoth are off to a very strong start. They’ve scored five goals in each of their first two games and have had no trouble generating shots. This is the tail end of a back-to-back and three in four nights, but early-season fatigue shouldn’t be much of an issue.

One player off to a solid start is Daylan Guenter, who has five points in those two games. He’s also shooting the puck a ton, ten shots in that same span. The Rangers are good at suppressing shots, but Guenther registering more than 3+ shots seems like a really low bar to clear. We do have to drink a little juice, but there is still value to be had.

🔥 Florida Panthers vs Anaheim Ducks Prediction

The Panthers couldn’t go two full games without the injury bug hitting them. Aleksander Barkov was immediately placed on IR after leaving the last game with a knee injury, so he’s going to miss at least 10 games. The Ducks are expected to take a step back this season after losing so many key pieces, but they put together a solid road performance against Vegas and came away with a win in OT.

The Panthers are a heavy team to play against, but so far, finding offence has been a challenge. They aren’t generating enough shots on goal, which has led to few goals. Again, it’s early in the season and things can change, but there is quite a bit of value backing the Ducks to cover the Money Line.

🏅Goalie of the Day: Joey Daccord - SEA

This might be a trap, but we can’t ignore how bad the Calgary Flames are. They met a few days ago, and Seattle laid a 6-1 beating on them in their own barn. Am I expecting Seattle to come out and fill the net? Of course not, but can they do enough to get Joey Daccord the win? Yes. He will be a popular option tonight, but sometimes, you gotta eat the chalk.

🏅Honourable Mention: Lukas Dostal - ANA

If we believe that the Ducks are going to win tonight, then we might as well take our chances with Lukas Dostal. He gave up three goals in his opening start, but he saw a decent amount of shots, and that trend should continue tonight. Florida is a scary offence that is still trying to get things rolling, so proceed with caution here. 

🏅Skater of the Day: Jack Eichel -VGK

I know this is a repeat from Friday, but Jack Eichel is worth his price tag. He needs multiple points to hit value, but against Vancouver, who are playing their second game in as many nights, I’ll gladly pay up for him and expect nothing short of elite.

🏅Honourable Mention: Cutter Gauthier - ANA

Cutter Gauthier only picked up one assist against Vegas, but he has five shots on goal, and we love the early-season volume. If the Ducks are trailing in the third, I expect Gauthier to be out there almost every second shift. The Ducks have no offensive depth, so they need their best players out there creating chances. His $7300 price tag is also a bargain on DraftKings.

🏅Value Play of the Day: Tristan Luneau - ANA

I didn’t know much about Tristan Luneau before he signed his contract extension, but he could become our new Alec Martinez (IYKYK). Luneau played over 26 minutes last game and finished with five blocked shots. That’s a lot of minutes for a kid, but the coaching staff seems to trust him, and we should target players who are seeing a lot of ice time. His price tag is under $4K, so he doesn't necessarily need to get a point to hit value.

🏅Top Stack of the Day: Golden Knights PP1

This shouldn’t shock anyone that we are targeting a team playing the Canucks. It’s only three games, but Vancouver’s penalty kill is operating at 63.6%, and Vegas can definitely fire the puck on the man advantage. Any three-man combo works, but my personal go-to option is Eichel, Mitch Marner and Tomas Hertl.
