Welcome to another season of NHL DFS! For those of you who are new, thank you for being here! You won’t find a better community. If you’re returning, you already know the routine. Nothing has changed from last season, so get ready for another year of Best Bets, DFS recommendations, and the unpredictable nature of goalies.

Before we dive into the fun, I want to remind everyone that the start of the season is often very volatile. We’ll be using last season's data, and not everything will translate perfectly to the 2026-27 season. Be cautious with your bankroll in the first week of action. We have an entire year ahead of us, so let’s take it slow and build up to something great, like prom night. Keep units small so your wins can grow as the season progresses.

If you’re looking for wagers from everyone on the NHL team, you can find them here, on the NHL Bet Tracker.

🏒NHL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 10/11

🔥 Seattle Kraken vs Washington Capitals Prediction

The Seattle Kraken offence has gotten off to a blazing start, averaging over 4 goals per game, but their shot volume is middle-of-the-pack, so some regression is coming, and it could start as early as today. The Capitals are a good defensive team, largely because of Logan Thompson, who is sporting an SV% close to .930%. Washington’s offence is still finding its stride, so this game has all the makings of a low-scoring event.

  • Kraken/Capitals UNDER 6.5 Goals (-120 on DraftKings)

🏒Today's NHL DFS Cheat Sheet & Stacks

🏅Goalie of the Day: Dylan Garand - NYR

With Igor Shesterkin down for the season and Joonas Korpisalo out for four weeks, goalie Dylan Garand is getting a prime opportunity to show management what he’s capable of. He picked up a shutout in his first game this season and was solid in relief. The Canucks’ offence has been good to start the year, but it won’t last. New York is a good defensive team, and they should be able to come away with the win. All we need from Garand is a win and two or fewer goals against.

🏅Honourable Mention: Pyotr Kochetkov - CAR

Even with the Hurricanes playing the tail end of a back-to-back, Pyotr Kochetkov is still a strong option tonight. The Flyers are off to a horrendous start to the season, and there’s no end in sight. They allow a ton of shots against, don’t shoot the puck much and just don’t compete. They look flat most nights, and that’s not something you fix overnight. Kochetkov has won both his starts this season and could easily add another.

🏅Skater of the Day: Sebastian Aho - CAR

Sticking with the Hurricanes, Sebastian Aho is off to a red-hot start. He has nine points in six games, and his shot volume has been up. That’s helping keep his floor high, making him a prime target on any slate. His ownership will be high, but if you’re stacking the Hurricanes, he's the place to start.

🏅Honourable Mention: Alexis Lafreniere - NYR

Alexis Lafreniere has six points in the last three games and is looking to keep the hot streak going. The Rangers have given him top power play minutes and continue to deploy him on the top line, so it’s nice to see the results follow. The Canucks are bleeding goals almost every game, and they don’t do a good job of suppressing shots. He works great as part of a stack or a single bullet.

🏅Value Play of the Day: Adam Larsson - SEA

Adam Larsson has no points this season, but thankfully, that’s not what we need him for. The veteran defenceman is blocking a ton of shots, close to three per game, which is the magic number on DraftKings to hit the bonus. The Rangers aren’t a high-volume shooting team, but that doesn’t mean Larsson can’t hit value. He’s playing just over 20 minutes a night and consistently hitting his blocked shots number. If he can continue that tonight, he hits value.

🏅Top Stack of the Day: NYR PP1

The Vancouver penalty kill is operating at 52.2% this season, the worst of any team. The Rangers rank 11th on the power play. You don’t need to be a math wizard to understand what I mean. New York’s offence is going to get a lot of good looks on the power play, so if you want a stack, the best value is Lafreniere, Pavel Dorofeyev, and Adam Fox. All three players could finish with multiple points.
