As always, goaltending will be important, and we’ll have to find some value plays to help fit the superstars into our lineup. Let’s jump into the action and see who we need to keep an eye on.

NHL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 10/26

Chicago Blackhawks vs Winnipeg Jets Prediction

I'm just going to upset some people right out of the gate-- the Winnipeg Jets are mid. Yes, they have a 7-3-0 record, but when you dig deeper, that’s a misleading record. Connor Hellebuyck is elite, so that covers up the fact that they can’t generate scoring chances five-on-five. Kyle Connor is doing his best, and Mark Scheifele is shooting 30%! I know it’s hard to trust the Blackhawks on any given night, but Spencer Knight has been just as good as Hellebuyck, and the Blackhawks have had success on the road to start the year. I’m not saying they win, but getting them at +190 feels like a steal.

 

 

 

New Jersey Devils vs San Jose Sharks Prediction

The New Jersey took a beating in Colorado a few nights ago, but don’t let that distract you from the fact that they are 8-2-0 on the season and have no problem scoring goals. Jake Allen is in goal for this one, so that gives the Devils an edge. The veteran netminder is 5-0-0, sports a 1.91 GAA and a .923 SV%.

On the flip side, the San Jose Sharks are still looking for their first regulation win. They have yet to taste victory at home, and when they do win, they still give up five goals. They are allowing over four goals per game, and rookie Michal Misa will not play tonight, despite his recent offensive explosion. Not sure why the Sharks don’t want to win hockey games, but we’ll take the Devils to cover the Puck Line

 

 

 

Today's NHL DFS Cheat Sheet & Stacks

Goalie of The Day: Dan Vladar - PHI

Listen, I didn’t think we’d be saying positive things about Dan Vladar in 2025, but here we are. The Flyers' goalie is confirmed to start tonight, and he is 3-0-0 at home with a 1.65 GAA and a .923 SV%. Overall, he has a .932 SV%, so he’s doing his part. The Flyers' offence is mid, but if they just get one or two past Saros, then Vladar can shut the door. He might get forgotten on this slate, so we could also get him at low ownership, making him a GPP candidate too.

Player of The Day: Jack Hughes - NJ

Back-to-back two-point games for Jack Hughes, so naturally, DraftKings reduced his price tag. He has a date with the Sharks, who are bleeding goals. This is going to be a high-scoring affair, and Hughes is going to have a chance to hit value despite his $8300 price tag.

Honourable Mention: Drake Batherson - OTT

As bad as the Senators are at keeping the puck out of their own net, their offence can certainly keep up with the best of them. Calgary is a mess defensively, and Devin Cooley is getting the start tonight. He hasn’t been bad in his only start, but we can’t trust the Flames right now. Drake Batherson has 8 points in the last three games and 12 on the season. He was elite on home ice last season, and that trend has continued this year. He’s $5100 on DK, so plug him into your lineup and move on.

Value Play of The Day: Lukas Reichel - VAN

We are really going to the bottom of the bargain bin tonight. Conor Garland will not play tonight, so a spot on the top power play has opened up, and it looks like Lukas Reichel is going to get the promotion. The Canucks are giving him a serious look in their top six since acquiring him from Chicago, and he’s going to have to make the most of it. St. Louis can’t keep the puck out of their own net, but even if Reichel doesn’t get a point, he can still hit value. He finished with four shots on goal last game and is the clear shooter on his line. If you need a cheap GPP single bullet, he’s an option to consider.
