Welcome back to a brand new week on the NHL Best Bets. Last week was more of a hard fought stalemate with money getting pushed around but overall not a gutting performance and we stay in the fight. Tonight we have 7 games on tap and I have circled a trio of picks to dive into, they include a regulation Money Line, Game Total and Team Total. If you like the rationale then tail the picks, if you don't feel free to fade as sometimes the best bets are the ones not taken!

NHL Best Bets for November 20

Los Angeles Kings at Arizona Coyotes

Every year you have a team that get dubbed the “road warriors” and this season its without a doubt the Kings. They have played 7 away games this season and have won them all but the way they win them has been impressive outscoring the opponents 33-12 during the stretch! Tonight its a road trip to the desert to take on the Coyotes and while they've impressed thus far the underlying metrics are lagging a bit especially in Corsi. The Kings on the other hand are a top 3 Corsi For % in the NHL at 56.7% and this means they will hold possession throughout the night. Los Angeles also boasts a high scoring offense at 3.94 goals per game which is 2nd in the NHL right now. Could be a close game but the Kings are mowing teams down right now and I think they can win outright in regulation tonight.

Pick: Los Angeles Kings 60-Min Money Line (-105 on Caesars)

Edmonton Oilers at Florida Panthers

You would have though coming into the season that these two teams would be some of the highest scoring squads in the NHL and interestingly enough that hasn't been the case overall. The Oilers are in shambles already firing their bench boss and have scored just 2.94 goals per game. The Panthers also started slow on offense due to injuries but at least they are rounding into form averaging 3.06 goals per game but have seen the total in their games go over in 6 of the past 8 games. The Oilers defense is also awful allowing the 4th most goals per game at 3.81 and its lead to a complete goaltending overhaul. Calvin Pickard will make his Oilers debut tonight but he's hardly a new shiny toy with 116 NHL games under his belt. He has a career GAA of 3.04 but hasn't played well really since 2017 with the Avalanche, I think the Panthers should smoke him. Give me the over even if its pushed up to 7 goals, I expect a big game tonight from each side.

Pick: Oilers & Panthers Over 6.5 Goals (-140 on PointsBet)

San Jose Sharks at Vancouver Canucks

When I was looking through the slate this was a game I had to wager on but couldn't find want I wanted initially. The Money Line is too chalky for the Canucks and the total might be too high as the Sharks on the road are scoring just 0.57 goals per game! The Canucks defense has also been top notch with 2.5 goals per game against and Thatcher Demko in the net with his 2.22 GAA. Then I found the bet that made the most sense, the Canucks team total of over 4 goals! Vancouver averaged the most goals per game in the NHL and the Sharks are a dumpster fire on the road even though they've been better on home ice. It just makes too much sense so give me the Canucks offense to go big tonight.

Pick: Vancouver Canucks Team Total Over 4 Goals (-130 on BetMGM)
