For tonight's NHL slate we have seven games on tap, which means plenty of options for player props! There are plenty of different ways to approach our player props over on Underdog Fantasy but I have selected two of my favorites from the Nashville Predators and New York Rangers. The season is still young so we will be relying heavily on statistics from last year combined with trends that develop this season. But you should still consult our NHL DFS Player Projections and NHL Vegas Odds when going about your selections.

NHL Underdog Fantasy Top Picks October 28

Roman Josi, Nashville Predators- LOWER than 4.5 Shots

Roman Josi is generally a high-volume shooter when it comes to defensemen. Last season only Dougie Hamilton recorded more shots on goal and Josi's 269 shots gave him an average of four shots per game. He has gone over in two of the seven games so far this season but Vegas has under 3.5 shots set at -130. Toronto ranks 17th in shots allowed this season with 30.29 per game and I like Josi to go under the 4.5 total here.

Filip Chytil, New York Rangers - LOWER than 3.5 shots

Filip Chytil has been pretty good at centering New York's second line this year, recording six points in seven games. He broke out last season with career-highs in both goals and assists at 22 and 23 respectively. He's been efficient at setting up Artemi Panarin on the wing but what he does not do is shoot in high volumes. His career-high 177 shots last year gave him an average of 2.39 shots per game and he has only gone over 3.5 shots once this season through seven games. Vancouver allows 31.57 shots per game on the season and are on a back-to-back but I like Chytil to go under.
