Welcome into NHL player prop central for the season on Underdog Fantasy! Player props are becoming one of the hottest growing things in hockey over the past few seasons and I have definitely taken notice as it adds yet another layer to a great game experience. Throughout this season you will find picks offered on the Underdog site that I find the most appealing as there are many to choose from so that's why I'm here to help you sift through the options.

For today's slate, we have 6 games on tap around the NHL and plenty of options for player props! I have highlighted a set of 2 props that I will be following tonight that includes 2 players around the league for the Buffalo Sabres and the Carolina Hurricanes!

NHL Underdog Fantasy Top Picks October 27

Jeff Skinner, Buffalo Sabres - HIGHER than 3.0 Shots On Goal

In the best bets article I was all over the Devils today but on the props front I actually like some Sabres action and more specifically I like Jeff Skinner! Skinner has never really played to his full potential during his NHL career but it looks like he has found a home in Buffalo and the production is showing. This season Skinner has gone higher than 3 shots on goal in 4 of 7 games with one of those being a push. That is great track record and against the Devils who allow 30.67 shots per game he has his work cut out tonight. I fully expect this game to be played fast and that is a big plus for player props.

Seth Jarvis, Carolina Hurricanes - HIGHER than 2.5 Shots On Goal

You knew a prop against the Sharks was coming today so here you go! Seth Jarvis is 8 games into the season at this point and has gone higher than 2.5 shots in 6 of 8 games to this point. Seems like they should move the line up on his props but what do I know, I am not an odds maker. His opponent tonight will do little to hold him back either as the Sharks allow 37.43 shots on goal this season and that's the most in the NHL. Keep it simple and hammer the Sharks!
