Welcome into NHL player prop central for the season on Underdog Fantasy! Player props are becoming one of the hottest growing things in hockey over the past few seasons and I have definitely taken notice as it adds yet another layer to a great game experience. Throughout this season you will find picks offered on the Underdog site that I find the most appealing as there are many to choose from so that's why I'm here to help you sift through the options.

For today's slate, we have 11 games on tap around the NHL and plenty of options for player props! I have highlighted a set of 3 props that I will be following tonight that includes 3 players around the league for the Detroit Red Wings, Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers

NHL Underdog Fantasy Top Picks October 26

Dylan Larkin, Detroit Red Wings - HIGHER than 3.0 Shots On Goal

The Red Wings are one of the best teams in the NHL to start the 2023 season and this guy Dylan Larkin is a huge reason why. Adding Alex Debrincat to the fold hasn't hurt either and anyway, they are rolling right now. Larkin of course has been productive totaling 30 shots over 7 games and has topped his prop line of 3 shots on goal in 4 games with 2 pushes. His opponent in the Winnipeg Jets tonight isn't super generous with shots allowing just 28.5 but seeing as the Red Wings are plowing through teams I don't think it matters right now so give me the higher prop on this man.

Brandon Hagel, Tampa Bay Lightning - HIGHER than 2.0 Shots On Goal

On an aging Tampa Bay team Hagel has been the secret weapon for the Lightning so far this season and his role is only growing with his on-ice time continuing to rise from last season. This prop is low for Hagel tonight and it stuck out to me because the Lightning are hosting the Sharks and we all know how bad they are. The Sharks are allowing 38.5 shots on goal per game right now and that's the most in the NHL by a decent margin. It should be an offensive onslaught for Tampa Bay tonight and Hagel should easily go higher than 2 shots on goal.

Artemi Panarin, New York Rangers - HIGHER than 2.5 Shots On Goal

I hate to kick a team when they're down but the Edmonton Oilers are getting beat up right now and with Connor McDavid out of the lineup it's getting ugly fast. Enter the New York Rangers tonight who are a well built team and should put in work on offense as the Oilers aren't playing much defense to speak of. I am highlighting Panarin here tonight because of this as he has topped his prop line of 2.5 shots in 5 of 6 games so far this season and the Oilers are allowing 30+ shots per game. Seems like simple math here so let's ride the bread man tonight over at Underdog.
