Welcome into NHL player prop central for the season on Underdog Fantasy! Player props are becoming one of the hottest growing things in hockey over the past few seasons and I have definitely taken notice as it adds yet another layer to a great game experience. Throughout this season you will find picks offered on the Underdog site that I find the most appealing as there are many to choose from so that's why I'm here to help you sift through the options.

For today's slate we have 16 games on tap around the NHL and plenty of options for player props! I have highlighted a set of 4 props that I will be following tonight that include 4 players around the league for the Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils and Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights. We are starting to get more and more data for these players props now too so let's use them to win some money on Underdog Fantasy!

NHL Underdog Fantasy Top Picks October 24

Jack Hughes, New Jersey Devils - HIGHER than 4.0 Shots On Goal

It seems like every day I do the Underdog NHL article Jack Hughes is staring right at me! That remains the same today as Hughes and the Devils take on the Montreal Canadiens who just played last night and allowed a bunch of shots on goal. The Habs allow 35.4 shots on goal this season and that's the 5th highest average in the NHL. On the flip side, the Devils are tormenting teams offensively so far and Jack Hughes is a huge reason why of course. Hughes has topped 4 shots on goal in 3 of 4 games this season with 1 push so he hasn't cost anyone money this season yet and I don't think he will tonight.

Filip Forsberg, Nashville Predators - HIGHER than 3.5 Shots On Goal

Another player having a great start to his season is Forsberg for the Predators! He has played 6 games at this point and has collected a total of 29 shots on goal and while I am not a big math guy I would say that is a higher average than his shots prop line of 3.5 for tonight. For consistency sake as well Forsberg as topped this line in 5 of 6 games this season so he is getting the job done! The Canucks who are the opponent tonight also allow 36.4 shots on goal which is the 4th highest average in the NHL so let's hit on Forsberg once again in a great matchup.

Matthew Tkachuk, Florida Panthers - HIGHER than 9.5 Fantasy Points

Getting away from the shots props for this one as Tkachuk hasn't posted a ton so far this season but overall he is in a fantastic spot tonight against the Sharks. The due theory is ringing tonight in a big way as Tkachuk does not have a goal yet this season through 5 games and that just can't continue for a player that scores 30-40 goals per season. A goal alone is worth 6 points in the Underdog format and then there's the fact that the San Jose Sharks allow the most shots in the NHL at 39.2 per game. 9.5 fantasy points is a larger number than normal but Tkachuk is a super star and will break through tonight.

Jack Eichel, Vegas Golden Knights - HIGHER than 3.5 Shots On Goal

All credit to Eichel's opponent tonight in the Philadelphia Flyers but what they are doing will not last. That may begin tonight as the undefeated Golden Knights host them at home and Eichel is licking his chops! Eichel has gone higher than 3.5 shots on goal in 4 of 6 games this season falling short each time on the road but at home he on his best style of game. The Flyers have played great defense this season allowing just 27.4 shots per game but given the matchup that number will rise and Eichel should have a big time game.
