For tonight's NHL slate we have six games on tap, which means decent options for player props. There are many different ways to approach props but I have selected two of my favorites from the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils. The Canucks are playing the Sharks tonight which means the Vancouver props will likely be very popular, but I am not as interested in that game.

NHL Underdog Fantasy Top Picks November 25

Bo Horvat, New York Islanders - LOWER than 3.5 Shots

Bo Horvat is a great player but he has not looked like the player he once was since joining the Islanders. He has his moments, but he's never really been a high-volume shooter. Last season he attempted the most shots in his career and only averaged 2.9 shots per game. Through 18 games this season, he's averaging 3.0 shots per game and the Flyers are allowing the 2nd fewest shots per game at 27.1. DraftKings Sportsbook currently has him going under 2.5 shots at -140 and since we are getting a full shot higher on Underdog, this is an easy pick.

Jack Hughes, New Jersey Devils - HIGHER than 4.0 Shots

Despite the struggles of the New Jersey Devils, Jack Hughes is an absolute monster on the ice. He may have lost a little of the spotlight after missing some games due to injury, but let's not forget he has 22 points in 13 games. Last season Hughes averaged 4.3 shots per game and this year he's averaging 4.0 shots per game. More importantly, the Devils are on a three-game losing streak and have dropped seven of their last ten. Jack has only gone below four shots five times this year and if the Devils want to get back on track, they are going to need him to pour on the shots. He had eight shots yesterday and I expect more of the same tonight.
