Underdog Fantasy NHL Picks November 11: Quinn Hughes Lines Up As Top Play
For Saturday night's NHL slate we have 10 games on tap, which means a ton of options for player props. There are many different ways to approach props, but I have selected three of my favorites from the Vancouver Canucks, Detroit Red Wings, and Winnipeg Jets. Edmonton props may be popular tonight in what seems like another must-win game for the Oilers, but I have lost all faith in that organization.
Quinn Hughes, Vancouver Canucks - HIGHER than 2.5 Shots
Quinn Hughes may very well be the best defenseman in the league this season. Vancouver looks like an absolute monster of a team and a big reason for their success is Hughes. He skates on their top defensemen pair and quarterbacks their top power-play unit. He leads all defensemen this year in minutes possessing the puck per game and he loves taking shots. In 13 games this season he has only gone lower than 2.5 shots three times. Click the button.
Alex DeBrincat, Detroit Red Wings - LOWER than 4.5 Shots
Alex DeBrincat started the year off scorching hot, but he's definitely slowed down. Over his last seven games, he has only recorded one point and the team has been struggling to put together wins. He likes to shoot the puck, but the 4.5 line is just a little too high. Over his last two seasons, he averaged around 3.2 shots per game and has only recorded five or more shots in four games this year. Vegas has his odds of going under 3.5 shots at -140 so I'm very comfortable taking him lower than 4.5 shots today.
Kyle Connor, Winnipeg Jets - HIGHER than 3.5 Shots
Kyle Connor is on fire right now. He's scored six goals in his last four games, including a hat trick against Nashville. On the year, he is averaging 4.6 shots per game and does not appear to be slowing down. He's coming off two straight games with seven shots on net and has gone higher than 3.5 in four of his last five contests. Dallas allows the sixth most shots in the league at 33.1 per game and I'm looking for Kyle to keep pouring it on.
