For tonight's NHL slate we have only four games on tap, which means fewer options for player props. There are many different ways to approach props but I have selected two of my favorites from the Vancouver Canucks and Carolina Hurricanes.

Tonight we're targeting some star NHL players who should put up plenty of shots on goal. Be sure to check out our NHL Tools when locking in your picks on Underdog Fantasy!

NHL Underdog Fantasy Top Picks December 28

Brock Boeser, Vancouver Canucks - HIGHER than 2.5 Shots

Brock Boeser has been amazing this season, trailing only Auston Matthews on the goals leaderboard. The Flyers don’t present the best matchup for Brock as they allow the 5th fewest shots per game at 28.5, but that’s not enough to turn me away. He’s gone higher than 2.5 shots in six of his last seven games and I’d look for him to do it again.

Andrei Svechnikov, Carolina Hurricanes - HIGHER than 3.0 Shots

Andrei Svechnikov has been up and down this season in terms of ice time due to his ongoing recovery from last year’s ACL injury. Carolina has recently moved him back up to the first line (where he belongs) where he should continue to see ample shot opportunities. He’s gone higher than 3.0 shots in five of his last nine games and Montreal allows the 4th most shots per game at 33.6. He averaged higher than 3.1 shots per game in his last two seasons and I like him to continue attacking the net.
