We are basically at the mid-point of the 2025 NFL season and our DFS game is exactly where it needs to be for a big second half. Our NFL DFS Week 8 picks need to be on-point to keep that momentum rolling, but after last week, I know we are all reading the tea leaves properly. Last Week's DFS Watch List gave us the base knowledge we needed and as we got closer to the end of the week – as the DFS coaching articles, the WR/CB match-up report and all the game preview articles started rolling out – we were ready to dominate. And dominate we did. But we don't rest on our laurels here at Fantasy Alarm. We've already been diving into the latest NFL news and NFL injury reports and we're ready to dive into our top NFL DFS Week 8 picks.

Some things to keep in mind for our NFL DFS Week 8 picks --

There is no Europe game this week and there is no doubleheader on Monday Night Football, but there are six teams on a bye this week which means it remains just a 10-game slate.

I am going to change the way I build my cash lineups moving forward. Well, secretly, I changed last week but wanted to see it in action before I made a specific announcement. The cash games on both sites have gotten so crazy with the lineup trains that it is making it extremely difficult to cash. Last week I was entered in several 100-person cash games at both the $5 and $10 level and in all of those contests, there were lineup trains 50-60 people long. What that is doing is raising the pay-lines to way above a normal cash game line and if that lineup doesn't finish in the top 5 overall, your chances of cashing greatly diminish. Not only that, but these people are also not getting paid out in full and making pennies on the dollar because now it's 60 people winning what 40 people should have won. This has been an ongoing issue for at least the last three years, so my feeling is, why waste our time?

That's why I've been encouraging people to skip the cash games and play single-entry GPP tournaments. But I know people still want to play their cash games and head-to-heads, so Iw ill keep posting cash lineups but be a little looser with my criteria for high-floor  players. In essence, you'll see a little more GPP flavor on the cash lineups. We're not stacking, but we're also not going to restrict from things like having a running back and a wide receiver from the same team, as an example. And that's kind of what you saw in the Patrick Mahomes cash examples I posted last week. The lineups scored 180+ on DraftKings and 160+ on FanDuel and both cashed. They also would have given you a 5-7x return in some single-entry contests.

And that's another reason I'm steering away from cash games. Why fight against the lineups trains for 2x when I can win 5-7x with the same lineup? Maybe we don't cash as often, but the payouts are bigger and over time, we'll win more.

One final note – the key to success this week is going to be in the DFS bargains and value picks. In this week's Watch List, we'll cover the top plays you should focus your attention on, but we don't want to fully commit to any real dart-throws just yet. I'll sprinkle some in during the week and finalize everything in the Playbook, but I think the real key is in the Dart Board.

Before we get to the NFL DFS Week 8 picks, here are the top lineups created solely with plays from the DFS Playbook and Dart Board:

Again, just trying to show you what could have been. Yes, some of my Example Lineups may have steered you in a different direction, but that's why you build your own and always use the examples as a sounding board. No one says you should be using them in your contests.

Now let's get to our NFL DFS Week 8 picks for the Watch List.
