NFL Week 18 is here and while most of the seasonal fantasy football people have wrapped up their season, we have one more full main slate to play to wrap up our 2023 NFL DFS season. This is always a tough week to navigate as some teams are fighting for playoff spots or improved seedings while some are just simply playing for pride. We also have some teams who are in some real cakewalk match-ups which means there could be some scoreboard watching and we see some stars take a seat early. What we need to do is create a list of teams and categorize them by how much we are interested in using their players. You figure that any team fighting for a playoff spot, we are going to want to be invested in, but that doesn't mean we don't invest in some others who may have a solid match-up and will allow the majority of their starters to play through. So what I've done here is categorize the teams for you, give you a general look at which teams have the most DFS allure. From there, we will whittle down the player pool even more until we have a final NFL Week 18 DFS Playbook.

Teams fighting for a playoff spot or better seeding:

Teams with no reason to play their starters:

Teams who may be scoreboard watching/partially sitting players:

Teams with nothing on the line:

Now, even here at the tail-end of the regular season, people are seeing the consistency with which our NFL DFS Playbook churns out top DFS plays and, as such, along with some people gifting subscriptions, we still have some new people looking to score big with one final DFS push. So with that, I would like to welcome all of you. I love seeing all the new screen names in Discord and seeing all of these new sign-ups for the All-Pro package makes me very happy, so before we fully dive in to the NFL DFS Week 18 Watch List, please allow me to welcome all of the new members of the Fantasy Alarm #FAmily. There are a lot of you and we thank you for joining. Now it's up to us to help you cash consistently on your NFL DFS action and we are psyched to make that happen. Since you are new to the Watch List, allow me to share some thoughts real quick:

“If you give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime.”

We take this adage to heart when it comes to playing NFL DFS. The Fantasy Alarm Playbook isn’t just about handing you a list of players and a lineup to use each week. It is designed to help you learn to be a better DFS player. It’s about teaching you the process used in selecting which players to scout and, eventually, which ones to use.

Therefore, we will begin each week with the Weekly NFL DFS Watch List which is designed to keep tabs on marquee names, chalk plays and, of course, the weekly bargains who may not see the same coverage and exposure. This piece will be continuously updated throughout the week, based on the most recent news and injuries, which means you may see a name or two removed as we get closer to Sunday kick-off. You may also see a few late-week additions who pique our interest for some reason too, and by the end of the week, this Watch List will eventually become your Playbook. Again, it’s about teaching you the process.

So what exactly did last week's Playbook deliver? As always, we like to check in to ensure we remain on the right path.

Scoring The Playbook Week 17

I'm not sure there's really anything to say here. These lineups are insane. Personally, I did not come close to building these lineups. My cash lineups all hit, which was great, but my GPP tournament lineups did not. For cash I had Lamar Jackson and yet in GPP tournaments, I felt more locked in on the Saints/Bucs game and the Houston Texans. The first game didn't pop quite like I had hoped and C.J. Stroud simply had too much rust on him to put together the game I was hoping to see. Again, though, the options I laid out to you were fantastic and, according to a number of screenshots and messages, the #FAmily did well. Even if you didn't bink a GPP, as they say, you hopefully didn't lose money because of how we invested in our cash lineups. Now let's take some of that momentum and carry it into the final week of the 2023 NFL regular season.
