Best NFL DFS Week 16 Picks & Watch List: Top DraftKings & FanDuel Plays
Published: Dec 17, 2025
Fantasy football got you down? Are you out of the playoffs? No worries at all as now is the perfect time to jump into the NFL DFS waters. As you can see, it's never too early to start your research for our NFL DFS Week 16 picks and, hopefully, you've been looking at the main slate player pool to start getting some ideas. With a two-game Saturday slate, we are back to just 11 games on the Sunday main slate, but don't worry, we've been crushing those slates for the last several weeks. Our research begins today and for me, it starts with the Watch List. Â While this piece evolves into the DFS Playbook, you should also be checking the rest of the NFL DFS content, from the DFS positional coaches to the WR/CB Match-Up Report to all the NFL game previews. Everything is loaded with the information you need to succeed. Are you ready? Let's get to it.
Â
For those who are new to the Fantasy Alarm #FAmily, allow me to welcome you and give you a quick understanding as to what this piece is all about. What you are looking at in this article, is the NFL DFS Week 15 Watch List which covers NFL DFS Week 15 picks for the main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. You can, obviously use it on other DFS sites as well, but their pricing won’t be listed. Not the end of the world and, typically, good bargains are similar from site to site, but just to be aware.
If you have been a longtime Fantasy Alarm subscriber, then you know what this DFS Watch List is all about. If not, allow me to properly introduce it using my favorite adage:
Give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime.
We take this to heart when it comes to playing NFL DFS. The Fantasy Alarm DFS Playbook isn’t just about handing you a list of players and a lineup to use each week. It is designed to help you learn to be a better DFS player. It’s about teaching you the process used in selecting which players to scout and, eventually, which ones to use.
Therefore, we will begin each week with this Weekly NFL DFS Watch List which is designed to keep tabs on marquee names, chalk plays and, of course, the weekly bargains who may not see the same coverage and exposure. This piece will be continuously updated throughout the week, as necessary based on the most recent news and injuries which means you may see a name or two removed as we get closer to kick-off. You may also see a few late-week additions who pique our interest for some reason too, and by the end of the week, this Watch List will eventually become your Playbook. Again, it’s about teaching you the process.
Â
Before we get to the NFL DFS Week 16 picks, I always like to present to you the optimal lineups that could have been build just using the DFS Playbook and Dart Board.Â

These scores would have taken down some serious cash in single-entry GPP and probably would have done reasonably well in some of the larger-field tournaments. The 2-TE set on DraftKings continues to work well and helps out with some of the budgetary restrictions. We didn't need to do it on FanDuel with the way their pricing is set up. We were able to us the same QB, RBs, TE and D/ST, but with the way the pricing was set for some for the receivers, we needed an extra pay-down over there. You can also see where we gained value in pricing mismatches. Terry McLaurin was a huge bargain on DK, but he was priced-up considerably over on FD. Same with Wan'Dale Robinson on FD. Because of the half-point PPR scoring, he was all the way down at $5,800 over there. The DFS Playbook has been a tried-and-true method of whittling down the player pool for you, While you may not have yet unlocked the true optimal lineup from the Playbook yet, I know a number of people have come pretty close and won some big money. That's our goal each and every week, so let's get to it!
