The regular fantasy football season is over. But that doesn’t mean fantasy football is over. Wildcard Weekend is here!

And, if you really think about it, the 12 game Sat-Mon slate isn’t all the different from a normal weekend slate, right?

NFL DFS Wild Card TE Coach For FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy

I mean, if you really think about it, a week like Week 14 had six teams on by then Thursday Night, Sunday Night, and Monday Night games that were not on the slate.

So that Sunday was only a 10-game slate. Plenty of opportunities to make some money here with our NFL DFS TE Coach for Wild Card Weekend!

NFL DFS TE Top Tier Picks For Wild Card Round

Mark Andrews, TE Las Vegas Raiders - DraftKings: $4,700 | FanDuel: $6,200

There are some solid tight ends in the playoffs, no doubt. But two of them, Travis Kelce and Sam LaPorta, have a bye week in the first round. That leaves only a few options available to use at the top.

Both Mark Andrews and Pat Freiermuth have been a lot more involved lately. But the reality here is that, with a 43.5-point over/under and the Ravens a 10-point favorite, the implied point totals for each team are not anywhere close to even. That essentially suggests the Steelers will score 16-17 and the Ravens 27-28.

We don’t love chasing TDs but, considering Mark Andrews has now scored in 6 straight games with 11 TDs over his last 12 games, it’s the best bet to make if you are spending up. Zay Flowers has already been ruled out this week so that leaves more targets on the table.

Zach Ertz, TE Miami Dolphins - DraftKings: $4,300 | FanDuel: $5,800

Not all of these defenses are created equally. And the Buccaneers are one of the most lopsided ones. They are very good against the run. But they’ve struggled against the pass.

And that is especially true against the tight end where the Bucs have been a bottom 5-6 team all year and are one of the worst remaining teams against the TE. This Washington @ Tampa Bay game also has the distinction of being the highest over/under.

With a spread of only 3 in favor of the home team this game offers the biggest potential to shoot out so you can pair Ertz with Jayden Daniels or use him coming back the other way if you plan to stack Buccaneers. His consistent usage lately makes him one of the better cash game options.

NFL DFS TE Mid-Tier Picks For Wild Card Round

Dalton Kincaid, TE Buffalo Bills - DraftKings: $4,000 | FanDuel: $5,700

You have to have some faith with this play. Because Kincaid was really not super involved in the last game he played against the Jets where he only got two targets. Granted, it was a 40-14 blowout. But That’s not going to cut it for us.

From Week 5 through that game, Kincaid has been involved when he’s out there. He actually led all tight ends in targets per route run over that span per FantsayPoints Data Suite. He just wasn’t a full-time guy, so he wasn’t running a ton of routes. Josh Allen specifically said that the Bills “didn’t want to show too much” in some of these easy wins against teams like New England and New York.

Now that it is playoff time and every game must-win, we’re hoping they really put the pedal to the metal here. And maybe that means a big game for Kincaid. He’s had a bunch of games with 7 targets, he just hasn’t really connected in a big way just yet.

Dalton Schultz, TE Houston Texans - DraftKings: $3,600 | FanDuel: $5,500

We really don’t love Dalton Schultz in a vacuum. He’s not super athletic which means he needs a lot of targets or a touchdown. That’s why he was way off our radar for redraft when they had Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs, and Tank Dell

But Diggs and Dell are both done for the season so we’re back to the conditions where Schultz can make an impact. Last year for instance, when Collins and Dell were healthy, Schultz was averaging 4.2 targets per game. When one of them was out, he was averaging 7 targets per game.

He’s been relatively quiet this year but, excluding last week when the starters came out early, he’s had 6, 7, 7, and 8 targets in four of his last six games. He’s absolutely capable of going out and giving us 7+ targets and a TD which is all we need in this price range.

NFL DFS TE Value Picks For Wild Card Round

Isaiah Likely, TE Baltimore Ravens, DraftKings: $3,200 | FanDuel: $4,800

With Zay Flowers already ruled out, both Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely are on the table. There have even been a few games like the Texans game where Likely has run more routes than Andrews. The last time the Ravens played this Steelers team, Andrews ran 17 routes and Likely ran 16.

Andrews has been hot lately, especially in the red area, but would anyone be shocked if they both get similar targets but Likely scores the touchdown instead?

Or maybe they both just have similar games - if that happens, you get more bang for your buck from Likely at his price. Would you be crazy to stack them both with Lamar Jackson? Maybe not…

Will Dissly, TE Los Angeles Chargers- DraftKings: $3,400 | FanDuel: $5,000

There’s really not any incredible discount play this week unless you want to play the guessing game with the Rams or Broncos tight ends. I do not. So, the cheapest guy on the slate that we can put some trust into is good old Will Dissly.

Coming off injury they eased him back in to some degree, but he got back up to 43 snaps last week at a 57% snap share (he was previously maxing out around 75% anyway and he put up 80 yards and a TD on 6 targets on a 57% snap share in Week 11).

Last week he once again scored while catching 5 of 6 targets. Dissly has basically been “West Coast Zach Ertz” this year as neither is super athletic but they are both involved typically and can find pay dirt.

NFL DFS TE Fades For Wild Card Round

Cade Otton, TE Los Angeles Chargers- DraftKings: $4,100 | FanDuel: $5,400

Folks will fondly remember the stretch from Week 6 to Week 19 or so when Cade Otton was a target machine. And that’s why he’s priced where he is. But the reality is that a lot of that happened in the absence of guys like Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Jalen McMillan

Godwin is obviously done but, with Evans and McMillan back, he’s been far less effective. He also hasn’t played in three weeks now so he could be a little rusty here.

Tucker Kraft, TE Los Angeles Chargers- DraftKings: $3,700 | FanDuel: $5,300

This will probably be a popular play. And there is no doubt that Kraft can break off big plays and potentially score, even on his typically limited targets. He has two 60+ yard plays after all.

But he’ll be going up against Zach Baun this week who has been PFF’s top graded cover linebacker. That’s a big reason why the Eagles have allowed the second fewest fantasy points to tight ends all season. So, I’m not loving Kraft here.
