We had our sixth Fantasy Alarm Best Ball draft on RealTime Fantasy Sports last night, so let’s take a look at what went down. This was a SuperFlex league draft. In the SuperFlex setup on RTFS you have a Superflex spot and an extra WR spot in your lineup to fill, but do not have defenses or kickers. I will break down what caught my eye and how I feel about a few teams. The draft board can be found below.

General Thoughts

If you can’t tell, I don’t play in SuperFlex leagues. I felt like quarterbacks would fly off the board early and I tried to lock mine in, but I could have waited much longer to attack that position and it ended up hurting me in other spots. My running backs are okay, mainly because of the Saquon Barkley headliner, but my wide receivers aren’t great and my tight ends are pitiful. I do like Noah Fant and Chris Herndon , but that’s not exactly what you’re looking to end up with. I feel strong about my quarterbacks and should get solid production there, but overall this team is pretty blah. Justin Jefferson and Jalen Reagor have been some of my favorite late wide receivers to target and I am starting to believe that A.J. Green isn’t a bad gamble at his ADP.

There’s a few teams battling for the title of “Vreeland’s favorite team,” but mine isn’t one of them. Scott, Voytko, Jason, and Howard all put together team’s that I really like. Scott waited at quarterback and it allowed him to make every other position a position of strength. Voytko took an alternate route and jumped the gun on Patrick Mahomes , but he was still able to grab a pair of strong backs and overall did pretty well at the other positions. Jason also jumped the gun at quarterback with Lamar Jackson and I like what he did at running back and wide receiver as well. Howard waited at quarterback and while I don’t love who he ended up with, it allowed him to make running back and wide receiver positions of strength. He grabbed his pair of tight ends late, but I am very high on both Hayden Hurst and Mike Gesicki .

Moving over from favorite teams, we can take a look at individual picks; which ones I love and which ones I don’t. I love Malin’s pick of Leonard Fournette in the fourth. I would rather have Fournette over the backs that went in the third round. I feel good about my picks of Keenan Allen and A.J. Green in the ninth and eleventh round. Lastly, I like Howard’s pick of Will Fuller in the 13th round. It’s a bit risky in this format with the thin bench, but Fuller can put up some big weeks. Moving to least favorite picks/moves, I’ll start with Demetri only grabbing two quarterbacks in a SuperFlex league. QBs rack up points and I think you want to have three in this format, to cover bye weeks and/or an injury. My selection of Drew Lock in the eighth round proved to be an awful pick. Plenty of guys went in the 11th round or later that are just as good as Lock.

I don’t feel great about this team, but I am not a big SuperFlex guy, so I am fine with the build. We will move back over to the normal PPR draft for our next one, so if you want to get in on the action, follow me on Twitter @JustinVreeland and send a DM my way. I look forward to seeing more of you.
