Week 17 of the NFL season is here and for many, this tends to mean championship week for fantasy football managers but don't worry, we have you DFS players covered as well with this week's DFS content starting with the QB coach. This week's QB slate is chalk full of top-tier plays including Justin Fields who gets the ever-so-favorable matchup against the Lions defense whom he torched for 147 rushing yards and two touchdowns back in Week 10.

NFL DFS Main Slate

Top Tier

Justin Fields, Chicago Bears

Last week was a tough one for Fields as the Bears ran into a strong Buffalo Bills team in conditions that made it fairly difficult to throw the football. That said, it wasn't the throwing that was the issue but rather the fact that the Bills managed to hold Fields to just 11 rushing yards on seven carries. In Week 17 we see Fields inside a dome against a Lions defense that watched him rush for 147 yards and two touchdowns. While the Bears receiving group continues to drop like flies around Fields he is still more than capable of being the top scoring QB because of that elite rushing upside.

Patrick Mahomes,  Kansas City Chiefs

We just saw this matchup back in Week 14 and the Broncos actually kept it competitive with Russell Wilson having one of his best games of the season. In turn we got 352 yards and three passing touchdowns from Mahomes. Denver's defense has been pretty solid this season but they were just embarrassed by Baker Mayfield and the Rams on Sunday and head coach Nathaniel Hackett was fired before he could finish his first season as a head coach. This matchup feels like one where Mahomes goes out there and throws a few touchdowns early on and gets the fantasy points we need.

Mid-Tier

Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I'm a slave to the scoreboard and what the scoreboard says is that Tom Brady is far better at home this season than on the road.  In his home stadium Brady has a 68% completion percentage with 14 touchdowns and just four interceptions with a QB rating of 94.1 and he averaging 20.1 fantasy points per contest. On the road  he is averaging far less including just 13.0 fantasy points per contest. Well, Brady is back home this week against a Panthers team that is coming off a big win last week against the Lions. You may not like what you've seen from Brady this season as a whole but home is where he makes it.

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

Another veteran QB that certainly hasn't had the season many had hoped for here but he draws one of the best matchups on the board in the Minnesota Vikings. Over the past five weeks the Vikings have allowed over 300 yards of passing offense to the likes of Mike White, Mac Jones, Jared Goff and Daniel Jones. We aren't exactly talking about Patrick Mahomes here. Rodgers certainly falls into the territory of guys who haven't been but certainly can be good in this matchup here this weekend. The status of Christian Watson is one to watch after he left Sunday's game with a hip injury but Allen Lazard and Romeo Doubs are both healthy and more than capable of putting up yards against this Vikings secondary that was just lit up by the likes of Richie James and Isaiah Hodgins last week.

Value Tier

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

We are no strangers to stacking the Lions this season, especially in matchups like this one where the Bears defense ranks among the leagues worst. Goff is another QB that loves his home cooking,  averaging 23.1 fantasy points in the Detroit compared to just 13.3 fantasy points on the road.

Gardner Minshew, Philadelphia Eagles

At least right now we are expecting Minshew to start at QB for the Eagles this week but there are reports that Jalen Hurts is pushing to play. Against Dallas last week Minshew looked good, throwing for 355 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for a touchdown as well. He also threw two INTs but neither of those two picks were totally on him as Quez Watkins was just out muscled for the football on both occasions. The Saints defense, especially their pass defense, has not been good this season and with A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert at his disposal, this shaping up to be another great matchup.
