Giants vs. Saints Predictions for NFL Week 5, Sunday 10/5
Last weekend, the Giants and Saints had opportunities to each pull off massive upsets, and we nearly saw both of them do so. However, only Jaxson Dart and the G-Men did so while helping us hit the under 44.5 points, although it was certainly a sweat.
While the Saints kept things competitive with the Buffalo Bills, they still fell short, but at least allowed Keon Coleman to have more than 42.5 receiving yards! We’ll be the first to admit that Giants vs. Saints predictions aren’t going to be making the cut for our overall best bets of the week, but there is always value to be had.
Of course, Malik Nabers' torn ACL injury is a massive blow to a New York team that would otherwise be riding a serious high coming into this game. That said, New Orleans is likely even lower than it would have been if it were just a blowout to Josh Allen and the Bills, as they really gave it their all to salvage their season.
It’s going to be an extremely interesting NFC clash, even if our Giants vs. Saints picks don’t end up being where we’d suggest wagering multiple units.

Giants vs. Saints Best Bet: Under 42.5 Points (-110 at ESPN BET)
If you were to force our hand and pick a winner for this game, we’d still take the Malik Nabers-less Giants. While it’s a huge weapon lost for rookie QB Jaxson Dart, it’s clear that he provides the spark that New York has needed.
That said, he’s going to need to learn when to pick his spots in terms of getting hit, and even beyond Dart, it’s the play in the trenches that should make the difference. New Orleans ranks 26th or worse in terms of pass/run block win rate AND pass rush/run stop win rates. The Giants aren’t elite either, but their defensive front is still one to be feared.
That defense should help us hit the same type of pick we hit with the Giants last week in terms of an under. This is definitely a low total, but these are two teams that have each scored just seven touchdowns this year - tied for the third-fewest in the NFL.
What makes that even worse for New Orleans is the fact that they’ve run the second-most plays in the league with 271. That’s just two fewer than the Dallas Cowboys, who have had two overtime games, one of which went the distance! In other words, the Saints are about as inefficient as it gets.
Consider going under their team total as well, but we’ll stick with the overall under 42.5 points (-110 at ESPN BET).
