Cardinals vs. Seahawks Predictions, Picks & Odds: NFL Week 10, 11/9
Divisional games. As we saw on Thursday Night Football between the Denver Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders, they can get scrappy. Everyone is familiar with each other. And everyone knows these games mean twice as much. Especially when there are only a few games separating first and last in your division.
The Seattle Seahawks have been a force to reckon with. Sam Darnold is out to prove that maybe he deserved some those MVP votes he got last year with the Minnesota Vikings. The Cardinals, on the other hand, are hoping to cling to their playoff hopes. And, with Kyler Murray on IR, that falls on the shoulders of backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett. All of these narratives will factor in to our Week 10 predictions and picks for the Arizona Cardinals vs. the Seattle Seahawks.

Cardinals vs. Seahawks Predictions For Sunday 4:05 PM ET, NFL Week 10
This is a division matchup so these teams, naturally, play fairly often. Twice a year in fact. But it hasn’t exactly been a “rivalry”. The Seattle Seahawks have now won eight straight matchups between these two, including earlier this year. The last time the Cardinals won was in 2021 when Colt McCoy beat Russell Wilson.
The Seahawks currently sit atop the NFC West with a 6-2 record. They have now won three straight following a tough 38-35 loss to the Buccaneers. The Cardinals sit in last in the NFC West at 3-5. They just beat the Cowboys this past week on Monday Night Football, but lost five straight prior to that.
Arizona Cardinals: The Jacoby Brissett Era
Kyler Murray has been dealing with a foot injury. And that injury recently landed him on injured reserve. All of that has led to some speculation that Murray would be benched either way though Jonathan Gannon did finally say after Monday’s game that Kyler is the starter when healthy. That doesn’t stop folks from speculating about whether the team is better off with Jacoby Brissett as starter or not but the bottom line lately is that the outcomes haven’t been much different. Maybe they would have more wins if guys like Murray, James Conner, and Trey Benson were healthy all year, but we’ll never know.
After a couple years of investing heavily in the offense, the Cardinals finally let Gannon turn to his defense. They used their first five picks of the draft on that side of the ball this offseason. And their top pick, Walter Nolen, was impressive in his debut last week. So this isn’t necessarily the flimsy Cardinals defense of years past.
Seattle Seahawks: A New Weapon For Sam Darnold
We wrote this offseason about why Seahawks fans and fantasy football fans alike should embrace Klint Kubiak and Sam Darnold. His offense heavily features fullbacks and tight ends in the personnel as well as pre-snap motion and zone runs in the scheme. The set-up has been fairly quarterback friendly, as we saw when Brock Purdy led the league in yards per attempt in 2023. Now, Sam Darnold currently has the highest yards per attempt of any QB over the last decade per Pro Football Reference - right ahead of Purdy in 2023.
And, to add on to that, the Seahawks have added receiver Rashid Shaheed. This isn’t just any random trade here as Shaheed played for Klint Kubiak last year in New Orleans. With Cooper Kupp and Tory Horton both nicked up, I expect Shaheed to slot right into the offense this week.
And the Seahawks have been just as good on defense. Per FTN Fantasy’s DVOA stat, which attempts to adjust for level of competition, they’ve been the second-best defense in the league this year. Their only real weak spot as of late has been the loss of safety Julian Love to the IR. That has seen some defenses have some success against Seattle over the middle of the field.
Cardinals vs. Seahawks Odds, Spreads, Total & Betting Lines
As promised, the latest Cardinals vs Seahawks odds can be found below courtesy of BetMGM Sportsbook:
- Point Spread: Arizona Cardinals +7 (-118) vs. Seattle Seahawks +7 (-102)
- Money Line: Arizona Cardinals (+260) vs. Seattle Seahawks (-325)
- Game Total (Over/Under): Over 45.5 (-110) vs. Under 45.5 (-110)
Cardinals vs. Seahawks: Rashid Shaheed Over 40.5 Receiving Yards (-115 at BetMGM Sportsbook)
Typically, we would be cautious for a receiver in his first game joining a new team. There’s a lot to learn. As we’ve heard from Liam Coen with Jaguars new acquisition Jakobi Meyers, he will learn the outside role first before he learns the slot. He won’t be up to full knowledge and speed right away.
But Rashid Shaheed has already spent a year in Klint Kubiak’s system. He knows the concepts and the terminology. That’s why they went and got him. There isn’t a steep learning curve to hold him back and he was seen this week getting direct guidance from Cooper Kupp.
With both Cooper Kupp and Tory Horton nicked up, I expect Shaheed to have his full role on the outside right from the jump. We also considered betting the “longest reception” line for Shaheed, as that’s what he does best, but those are all set over 20 yards. With his total receiving yards line set at only 40.5, might as well just go for that.
