Bears vs. Ravens Predictions & Picks With Lamar Jackson OUT: NFL Week 8
From Super Bowl favorites to a 1-5 record. That’s what Baltimore Ravens fans have been dealing with this season, but coming off their bye week, Lamar Jackson was expected to return as the team hosts Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears. That alone makes it a polarizing matchup, so we’ve got our best Bears vs. Ravens predictions for you.
Additionally, we’ve added an awesome way to add value to your Bears vs. Ravens picks for this week - a brand new $2,000 Fanatics Sportsbook welcome bonus that lasts over a week!
Bears vs. Ravens Predictions for NFL Week 8, Sunday 10/26
If we had told you that this NFC vs. AFC clash would be one featuring a 4-2 and 1-5 team at the start of the season, you’d say - sure, of course, Chicago is 1-5 and Baltimore is 4-2. Well, now that it’s Week 8, that is entirely flipped.
The Bears are on a four-game winning streak with a bye sandwiched in between. However, Chicago fans may be fearing a feeling of deja vu. Last year, the Bears were 4-2, faced a team in Maryland in Week 8 (Washington Commanders), lost to an extremely mobile QB (Jayden Daniels) and went on a 10-game losing streak.
With Baltimore coming off their bye week, fans were expecting a healthy Lamar Jackson. Well, that is no longer the case - Lamar Jackson has been ruled OUT as of early Saturday afternoon. The team will now start Tyler Huntley for their last meeting with the Bears in 2021, which was pre-Caleb Williams, pre-Rome Odunze, pre-Ben Johnson and before this entire regime.
That clash was a rather uneventful 16-13 win for Baltimore, so let’s see if we can find more excitement for our Bears vs. Ravens predictions.

Bears vs. Ravens Best Bet: Rome Odunze Over 56.5 Receiving Yards (-110 at Fanatics)
The Lamar Jackson injury isn’t the only one for the Ravens - not even close. The majority of the defensive starters have missed time, including the likes of Nnamdi Madubuike, Roquan Smith, Kyle Hamilton, Marlon Humphrey, Chidobe Awuzie and the list goes on.
That’s why this Baltimore defense has been the polar opposite of what the franchise is known for, and while that’s true, it also wasn’t out of nowhere. Some fans may not remember that although the Ravens had the NFL’s best run defense last season, they also allowed the second-most passing yards per game.
That’s why we’re undoubtedly going to see a ton of Bears vs. Ravens predictions focused on Caleb Williams going over his passing yards prop. While that may come to fruition, we think it will happen because he is forced to throw to catch up after a fast start from Baltimore. Well, that was our approach until the Lamar Jackson injury news.
With the Steelers losing last Thursday, there was a glimmer of hope for the Ravens to go on a run and steal the AFC North. Over the next eight weeks, they play the Bears (albeit improved), the 1-6 Miami Dolphins, the 3-3 Minnesota Vikings, the 0-7 New York Jets and four divisional games. Even though that could be considered wishful thinking, now it's all but a pipe dream.
We originally had Baltimore getting off to a fast start and cover the first half spread. Well, we don't want anything to do with that given that Lamar Jackson is OUT. Instead, we'd suggest a play targeting the Chicago offense for your Bears vs. Ravens predictions., such as Rome Odunze having at least five receptions or over 56.5 receiving yards (-110 at Fanatics).
