49ers vs. Giants Predictions, Picks & Odds: NFL Week 9, Sunday 11/2
Two of the most intriguing teams to follow this season have been the San Francisco 49ers with all of their injury concerns and the New York Giants with their rookie backfield of Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo. Well, those two defining factors have now intertwined, and we’ve shared our best 49ers vs. Giants predictions for Week 9 to explain.
Even if you’re a fan in San Francisco or another location without legal sports betting, we’ve also added to our 49ers vs. Giants picks with today’s Sleeper Fantasy promo code bonus for TWO guaranteed rewards!
49ers vs. Giants Predictions for NFL Week 9, Sunday 11/2
For one of our overall best bets for the entire this past weekend, we had Philadelphia Eagles superstar RB Saquon Barkley simply scoring an anytime TD. The Giants helped us cash that pick 23 seconds into the game by giving up a 65-yard TD rush. Hopefully, we can find as quick of a cash for our 49ers vs. Giants predictions for this Sunday.
It was the other RB in that matchup that continued New York’s bad luck this year. Keeping in mind that they already lost WR Malik Nabers to a torn ACL, the energy-bringing rookie RB Cam Skattebo suffered a brutal ankle injury. As much juice as rookie QB Jaxson Dart has brought to the team, now he has even more pressure on him.
Of course, the 49ers know all about that, which has been the case for more than just this year. We saw starting QB Brock Purdy miss yet another game in a double-digit loss to the Houston Texans. With so many variables for both teams, there is so much to take into consideration for any 49ers vs. Giants picks.
Well, that’s what we’re here for. There will almost certainly need to be updates throughout the week, but we’ll be keeping tabs on everything for you. That said, we’ve still got a best bet from 49ers vs. Giants predictions for now to break down.
49ers vs. Giants Best Bet: Christian McCaffrey Over 65.5 Rushing Yards / Anytime TD (Use His Sleeper Card)
San Francisco has been without Brock Purdy for several games now, and frankly, Mac Jones has looked like the better option more times than not. Therefore, we aren’t worried about which QB is under center when it comes to where we're focusing our 49ers vs. Giants predictions, which is with Christian McCaffrey.
We targeted him two weeks ago against the Atlanta Falcons, and he absolutely torched them to the tune of 129 rushing yards, two TDs, seven receptions, AND 72 receiving yards! We know that his numbers from this past Sunday are going to cause hesitation, but we need to keep in mind who they were facing.
The Houston Texans defense has allowed the fewest points per game this season, has the #1 EPA per pass (CMC is huge through the air), and two of the best pass rushers in the NFL - Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr. That all added up to the 49ers almost NEVER having the ball in the entire first half.
Houston possessed the ball for 24:31 of the 30 first-half minutes - the most since 2009. Therefore, CMC simply didn’t have the opportunity, but there should be a ton of them against the G-Men. We saw Saquon Barkley run wild for 150 yards, perfectly proving why New York has the NFL’s worst EPA per rush.
When these teams last met (two seasons ago), CMC had 85 yards and a TD. You could also consider Mac Jones over his passing yards prop, given Brock Purdy had 310 in that matchup as well. However, we’re taking Christian McCaffrey over 65.5 rushing yards / anytime TD scorer (add him to a Sleeper Fantasy lineup) as the best bets from our 49ers vs. Giants predictions.
