Week 3 was brutal for injuries, with many fantasy football superstars being removed from action. Players on both sides of the ball have felt the brunt of the season already, with many season-ending injuries to star players. With that in mind, let’s take a look at who is hurt, who is getting healthy, and who may be a waiver option.

NFL Week 4 Injury Report: Quarterbacks

Caleb Williams (Chicago Bears)

While some believed Williams could play this week, he was ultimately inactive with a Grade Two hamstring strain. This is expected to keep him out for three to four weeks, though the Bears are hopeful that he can return earlier. While Tyson Bagent is the backup on paper, we saw Case Keenum take the start given Bagent was recovering from a concussion.

Baker Mayfield (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Mayfield suffered a dislocated thumb on his throwing hand, which should not require surgery. That said, he is still expected to miss at least three weeks. Jalon Daniels will start in his place and should offer some decent rushing upside, but he was an undrafted free agent who has not been tested against NFL defenses yet. I would temper expectations for both Daniels and the Tampa Bay pass catchers.

NFL Week 4 Injury Report: Running Backs

De'Von Achane (Miami Dolphins)

This weekend, Achane suffered a torn ACL, which will effectively end his season. With Jaylen Wright also banged up, Ollie Gordon saw the majority of the work in relief. That said, I would hesitate to be excited about any player here, as this Miami offense is one that is currently struggling heavily, and a downgrade at RB surely will not help.

Travis Etienne (New Orleans Saints)

Etienne left Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury. This is the same hamstring that was bothering him during practice prior to the game, so it remains to be seen what the extent of the injury is at this point. Hamstring injuries are notoriously fickle, so the Saints may be without Etienne for some time.

Breece Hall (New York Jets)

Hall left this weekend's game with a quad/thigh injury. We won’t have much information on the injury until Wednesday, per head coach Aaron Glenn, but I would expect Hall to miss some time. Braelon Allen is a preferred waiver pickup as a result.

NFL Week 4 Injury Report: Wide Receivers

Jalen Coker (Carolina Panthers)

Coker has been diagnosed with a minor quadriceps strain. He could be available to play next week, but I would recommend monitoring injury reports during the week to get a clear idea of his status.

Mike Evans (San Francisco 49ers)

Evans suffered an injury to the rib/oblique area in Sunday’s win. Practice reports this week will give us a clearer indication of the severity of the injury.

Justin Jefferson (Minnesota Vikings)

Jefferson suffered an ankle injury that ultimately removed him from action this weekend. That said, head coach Kevin O’Connell stated he was close to returning a few times throughout the game, so the team is hopeful that he’ll be good to go moving forward.

Caleb Douglas (Miami Dolphins)

Douglas, who missed Sunday’s game, is considered day-to-day with his ankle injury. That said, he could return to practice Wednesday, which could give a slight boost to one of the worst offenses in the NFL.

NFL Week 4 Injury Report: Tight Ends

Terrance Ferguson (Los Angeles Rams)

Ferguson re-aggravated an ankle injury, which caused him to be removed from action. We will likely not have an official update until later this week, but he should be a streamer at most until Puka Nacua is back.
