Week 12 was another one for the ages, and there is no hotter IDP article than Fantasy Alarm’s Weekly IDP Report. One time use on weekly match-ups, and we must be in a vein of fantasy gold, because the column keeps providing nugget after nugget! Before we get to week 13, let’s take a look at week 12

  • Will Anderson Jr., Defensive Lineman, Houston Texans32.75 Fantasy Points. 3 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, 3 QB hits, 2.5 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, 1 pass defended
  • Isaiah McDuffie, Linebacker, Green Bay Packers: 22.50 Fantasy Points. 5 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles, 1 QB hit, 1 pass defended, 1 interception, 0.5 sacks
  • Justin Reid, Defensive Back, New Orleans Saints30.40 Fantasy Points. 4 assisted tackles, 3 solo tackles, 1 pass defended, 1 interception, 49 interception yards, 1 touchdown

Weekly Grade: A++. Three weeks of pure dominance, and we have said it the past two weeks… It can not get better than this! Will Anderson was DL #3, Isaiah McDuffie finished as LB #4, and Justin Reid as DB #3. If IDPs had a DFS, we would have taken home first. Reid and McDuffie are still available in most leagues! What a call, but we aren’t finished yet.

There are no bye weeks in Week 13. Bill Belichick would be happy with ‘NO DAYS OFF!’

Fantasy Football IDP Risers Week 13

Maliek Collins is a defensive lineman for the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland is riding high off the Shedeur Sanders-led victory from last week. Myles Garrett had 3 sacks, and the Browns notched 10 total sacks. Collins recorded 2.5 of those big plays. It is rare for a defensive tackle to stuff the sheet, but with so much attention shifted towards Garrett, Collins has one-on-one matches he has been exploiting. Keep an eye on this week 13 riser, and for leagues that require a defensive tackle, get him.

Dennis Gardeck is a linebacker for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played seven seasons with the Arizona Cardinals prior to this year. He had his revenge last week with 6 combined tackles, 4 QB hits, 1.5 sacks, and 1 tackle for loss. Jacksonville plays Tennessee this week, and are 1 game behind the Indianapolis Colts for first in the division. Gardeck has a great opportunity to impact the game with a big play, and Jacksonville has plenty of motivation for this divisional match. Check our Gardeck in deeper IDP leagues.

Calen Bullock is a defensive back for the Houston Texans, who have the best secondary in the NFL. Bullock is nicknamed “superglue”, and it was obvious why against the Buffalo Bills. He had 2 interceptions against the reigning MVP, Josh Allen, which he returned for 29 yards. He also recorded 5 solo tackles and forced a fumble. This week, it’s a divisional match-up against the Indianapolis Colts, and Bullock should have another impressive stat line. Pick this riser up and insert him in the lineup if your IDP roster needs a jolt.

Fantasy Football Week 13 IDP Waiver Wire Targets

Darius Alexander, Defensive Line, New York Giants

Darius Alexander is a rookie defensive lineman for the struggling New York Giants. As Andrew Cooper and I mentioned on Fantasy Alarm’s Monday YouTube show, the rookies are now 11+ games into the NFL. They are beginning to shine, and Alexander is another example of the 2025 class stepping up. In week 12, he recorded 2 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 QB hits, and 2.0 sacks.

The Giants play the New England Patriots in the last game of week 13 and the first game of December. Maye is under duress on several pass plays; the Patriots lost two offensive linemen last week, and the Giants have a new defensive coordinator. Alexander is the least of the opposing offensive coordinators’ concerns, and he often gets one-on-one matches. Get Alexander off the waiver wires, and expect great pass pressure in week 13.

Mike Green, Defensive Line/Linebacker, Baltimore Ravens

Another rookie cracks the waiver wire list of week 13. This time, Baltimore Ravens edge pressure, Mike Green. Green put up impressive numbers at Marshall University and is starting to find his footing in the NFL. He has recorded at least 0.5 sacks in three of his last five games. He has 5 QB hits in his last three games, and recorded 5 combined tackles last week against the New York Jets.

Green has played 38 or more snaps in all but his first game, and he has not played any special teams snaps in the previous two weeks. The Ravens host the Cincinnati Bengals on Thanksgiving Day, and no matter which Joe is at quarterback, Green has a chance to get to them. Snag the rookie off the waiver wire and plug him in for the rare Baltimore Thanksgiving game.

Andrew Wingard, Defensive Back, Jacksonville Jaguars

The second Jacksonville Jaguar cracks the week 13 IDP report. This time it is Andrew Wingard. He predominantly lines up at free safety, with 389 snaps. However, he has considerable snaps all over the field. He has 202 snaps in the box this season, 83 at slot corner, 39 on the defensive line, and 39 in punt coverage. Put simply, Wingard is a football player, and a good one too.

Several fantasy football managers discard the defensive back position. And even more stream them depending on the match. Wingard plays the Tennessee Titans this week and challenges rookie Cam Ward. He is available in over 50% of IDP leagues. Look for a big play from the veteran safety. Pick him up from the waiver wire and insert him in fantasy football lineups.

NFL Week 13 IDP Matchups To Capitalize On

Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions Thursday 1:00 PM ET

This week, there are three games on Thursday, and that is because it is Thanksgiving Thursday. With that in mind, three Thursday players are mentioned in order of their game. The first player mentioned is a deep dive, DJ Reader of the Detroit Lions. He is a defensive tackle, and the expectation is for him to see several run attempts from the Green Bay Packers.

He earned 4 combined tackles last week and should earn more than that this week. Green Bay is shuffling through their offensive line, and Reader could earn a sack or a QB hit, too. Put Reader in the starting lineup against the Green Bay Packers.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Dallas Cowboys Thursday 4:30 PM ET

Logan Wilson has yet to have his breakout game with the Dallas Cowboys. But he could be a big part of the game plan against the Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes gets to come home to North Texas for a Thanksgiving game. Look for crisp passes to tight ends and dump off in the flats to running backs.

Wilson will cover both of them, and a 6+ combined tackle, 1 pass defended game is more than possible. Especially for a linebacker who knows Mahomes and the Chiefs well via his 5.5 years with Cincinnati. Put Wilson as a starter in IDP fantasy football leagues in week 13.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Baltimore Ravens Thursday 8:20 PM ET

A former teammate of Wilson got the nod in the late Thanksgiving game. While everyone has their pants unbuttoned and is snoring off their turkey, Geno Stone will be tackling Derrick Henry, Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, and other Baltimore Ravens. He had an impressive game last week with 7 assisted tackles, 6 solo tackles, 1 pass defended, 1 interception, and 32 interception yards.

Baltimore should possess the ball longer than Cincinnati, and another big play is on deck for the leader of the Bengals' secondary. Lamar Jackson has not been playing well and is injured. This could lead to quick passes as he avoids running. Play Stone with confidence across almost all IDP formats in week 13.
