Welcome to the Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Report! The waiver wire is key to winning. It helps you improve on the team you drafted, and to help patch holes when players go down due to injury. It’s something most managers will monitor daily. Let’s take a look at who we should be adding this week.

Chandler Stephenson - Vegas Golden Knights - Winger/Center

I don’t know why I have to keep talking about Chandler Stepheson, but it’s probably because he isn’t getting the respect he deserves. After missing a game due to the passing of his grandmother, the centerman returned to the lineup on Sunday and put up a stellar performance with four assists in 20-minutes of ice time. He’s the best centerman on the team, and it’s not even close. Realistically, he could finish the season with 70-points, yet he’s only 62% owned in Yahoo! Leagues. I don’t get how this is possible. If he’s still on the waiver wire, add him so I can stop talking about him. Thank you.

Max Domi - Columbus Blue Jackets - Winger/Center

Max Domi has four points in the last three games and looks to be playing some really good hockey. The Columbus Blue Jackets are a bad team, which means they will be playing catch up hockey most nights, which is good game script for Domi. He’s moved to wing, and that seems to have simplified his game. We don’t know how long this mini hot streak will go on for, but in deeper formats, there’s no reason for him to be on the waiver wire.

Tanner Pearson - Vancouver Canucks - Winger

Since Bruce Boudreau took over the head coaching duties, the Canucks have looked like a completely different team, and that’s a good thing. They’ve been playing some inspired hockey, and some players are starting to see a ton of ice time. Tanner Pearson gets forgotten in that lineup, but he’s had games where he’s played over 19-minutes a night, and with that kind of ice time, good things are bound to happen. His shot totals have also started to increase, and he’s found a home on the top power play unit. The points aren’t there yet, but it’s only a matter of time before Pearson starts adding to his totals. He’s widely available across all platforms.

Charlie Lindgren - St. Louis Blues - Goalie

With St. Louis missing Jordan Binnington due to COVID-19 and Ville Husso to injury, Charlie Lindgren has found his way back to the NHL and has been amazing. He has won all three of his starts and has given up just three goals. He’s been fantastic, and yet, he’s only 14% owned in Yahoo! Leagues. Binnington might be ready to play this week, but for now, fantasy owners in need of a goalie should have already added Lindgren to their lineup.

Jacob Slavin - Carolina Hurricanes - Defence

With Tony DeAngelo still out of the lineup, Jacob Slavin has found himself on the top power play unit, and while that hasn’t translated into more points, it’s an opportunity that should help him improve his overall numbers. He has no one behind him to challenge him for that spot, but he needs to start producing, and considering the team he’s on, that shouldn’t be an issue. If he’s on the waiver wire, I’d consider adding him.
