It’s been a BIG week for the FAmily as we’ve had some nice DFS results so early in the season. Just this past Sunday, frequent Discord contributor Iceethruu took home over $2,000 across a few different slates on DraftKings. Then the following night he split a big takedown for the Monday Night Football Showdown slate to walk away with another $12,500.
We look to keep that momentum going for Week 6 as the Bye weeks continue. We’re missing out on exploding offenses such as the Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions. We also don’t have a bad team to target in the Miami Dolphins. And the most blitz-heavy DST, the Minnesota Vikings, will be off the board for the Week 6 main slate as well.
We have one of those pesky 10-game slates for Week 6, and these slates can lead to some consolidated ownership numbers among the chalk. But at least for DraftKings we don’t have a near $10K skill position player on the main slate. Hopefully this slate can see ownership spread out a little more. Unlike last week, there is more than just one appetizing game to aim for offense when building lineups. Here are the latest NFL DFS Week 6 DST Picks!
NFL DFS Week 6 DST Picks
New England Patriots – DraftKings: $3,500 | FanDuel: $4,500
The Patriots feel as if they’re eventually due for a big defensive performance similar to the kind of ceiling they showcased in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In Week 6, the Pats host the New York Jets, and New England is currently favored by roughly a touchdown.
The Jets truly haven’t been as awful as we’re used to them being. However, they’ve scored 17 or fewer points in three of their last four games. The Patriots have bled points to good offenses, but they’ve yet to allow any team to amass 350+ yards of offense on them.
Geno Smith has cooled off over his last two games. He’s completed just 55.5% of his pass attempts over that span while failing to reach 200 passing yards. Smith has also been sacked 16 times over the last four games, and the Patriots could be getting Christian Gonzalez for this matchup, which could limit Garrett Wilson’s upside.
Indianapolis Colts – DraftKings: $3,400 | FanDuel: $4,700
I can’t say many great things about the Colts defense, if I’m being honest. Their pass rush is nothing special. They’re dead last in pressure rate (29.7%), and they’re 30th in blitz rate (20.5%). They’re also awful at defending the ground game as they’re dead last in EPA/rush (0.08), 28th in yards before contact per attempt (1.63), and 27th in yards after contact per attempt (3.24). So there’s obviously one key reason the Colts are in our NFL DFS Week 6 DST picks, and that’s because of Cam Ward.
Ward simply has not been very good for the most part, and he’s not developing in his second year. Now, to be fair to him, he’s been surrounded by some awful coaching staffs in his first two years. Robert Saleh is the current head coach of the Tennessee Titans, but Brian Daboll just has not been the offensive guru we thought he was. He hasn’t been able to “fix” Ward by any means.
Ward has thrown an interception in three straight games, and he’s only eclipsed 200 passing yards once this year. He also ranks 31st among qualified quarterbacks in EPA/play (-0.15) and 25th in average depth of target (7.0 yards). The bigger concern I have with this matchup is that the Titans could simply take this game out of Ward’s hands and rely mostly on the ground game with Tony Pollard. But ultimately, if the Colts offense can build a big enough lead, then the Titans may have to abandon the run and air it out to keep pace. And that’s where Ward can make his mistakes.
Baltimore Ravens – DraftKings: $3,200 | FanDuel: $4,900
For the second straight week, the Ravens go on the road and will this time take on the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens haven’t quite exploded for a huge DFS score at the DST position, but I am confident that Jesse Minter’s defense can prevail and come through for a break-the-slate kind of performance one of these days. This game has one of the lowest implied totals on the board at 40.5 points, and the Ravens are favored by a field goal despite being the away team.
They have certainly been trending in the right direction. In their last two games, this defense has allowed a total of 35 points to the Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans. But again, while they are keeping points from racking up, we do need sacks and interceptions.
Deshaun Watson has only thrown two interceptions through five games, but just last week he was sacked eight(!) times by the New York Jets. And in two of his last three games, he’s completed under 55% of his pass attempts. He’s not lighting it up by any means, but he’s gotten the Browns to 3-2 to start the season. But while he’s certainly looked better than years past, I don’t want to rule out the possibility he could regress and have an absolute dumpster fire of a performance.
Best NFL DFS DST Values for Week 6
Best DraftKings DST Value – Carolina Panthers; $2,500
News broke Thursday afternoon that Jalen Hurts wouldn’t play in this game due to a superficial blood clot that was found in his leg after getting an MRI earlier in the day. Everyone, of course, wishes him the best and a speedy recovery. It looks as if Tanner McKee could get the start, but there are rumors floating around that Andy Dalton could be brought back after the team released him just last week.
As of Thursday evening, the Panthers, as a value play, go on the road as -3.5 favorites. The Philadelphia Eagles have an implied team total of just 17.5 points. Carolina’s also coming off their Bye week, and the Eagles might still be recovering from the travel after playing in London last week.
The Panthers defense can be a liability as they’ve allowed 450+ yards of offense in two of four games, and they can give up plenty of points as well. But we’re leaning into the quarterback situation for the Eagles. And overall, that offense is dealing with plenty of injuries and personnel turnover on the offensive line.
Best FanDuel DST Value – Cleveland Browns; $3,500
Both the Browns and the Panthers are the same price on DraftKings, but the Browns do provide more salary relief on FanDuel. Cleveland will be at home for this AFC North matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar Jackson did not practice Wednesday or Thursday, so his status could really influence how we view the Browns as a DST come Sunday.
Even if Lamar is unable to go for this matchup, we can’t completely write off Tyler Huntley. Huntley looked great in primetime last week against the Atlanta Falcons, where he completed 75% of his pass attempts and accumulated three total touchdowns. He has rushing upside and escapes the pocket fairly well.
Now while the Browns may not have Myles Garrett anymore, the pass rush has certainly been doing their part. They have at least three sacks in each of their last four games while limiting opposing offenses to under 20 points in three of those games as well. According to Sam Hoppen, the Brownies rank fourth in pressure rate (45.4%) and sixth in sack rate (8.2%). So while Huntley is evasive, the Browns aren’t completely hopeless, and you can certainly do a lot worse in this range.
NFL DFS DST Fade for Week 6
Los Angeles Rams – DraftKings: $3,800 | FanDuel: $4,300
It’s not that I think the Rams are the worst play on the NFL DFS Week 6 main slate. But at this price point, I won’t be forcing them into my NFL DFS lineups. The Rams are the most expensive DST on DraftKings and the seventh-most expensive group on FanDuel. Moreover, the Rams just took a pretty bad loss against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football, and that game required overtime.
The visiting Arizona Cardinals aren’t awful, especially on offense. Just a week ago, we were all targeting them for the Week 5 main slate because the matchup against the Detroit Lions promised to be high-scoring, and it was, for the most part, even if the Cardinals still lost by 24. But they’ve posted 20+ points in four of five games.
Myles Garrett still won’t be back for this matchup, and the Rams could certainly use him. They have only five takeaways and eight sacks through five games. Yes, the Rams are sizable favorites (-12.5), but on a short week, I’m struggling to justify the price tag when the Cardinals can put points on the board even if this isn’t an overly competitive game.
NFL DFS Week 6 DST Play of the Week
Kansas City Chiefs – DraftKings: $3,600 | FanDuel: $4,600
The Chiefs get an AFC West matchup at home against the underperforming Los Angeles Chargers. The Chiefs are favored by 7.5 points, and the Bolts have an implied team total of just 17 points. I’m not sure what more needs to be said about how bad the Chargers have been to start the year. Mike McDaniel has ruined Omarion Hampton. Justin Herbert seems checked out at times. And their best receiver seems to constantly pop up on the injury report.
The NFL Gods have not been kind to the Chargers, and it makes the Chiefs an appealing option, especially considering they’re fresh off their Bye week. Surprisingly, the Chiefs haven’t recorded a sack since Week 1, but they’ve done well at keeping bad offenses in check. The L.A. offensive line ranks 26th in pressure rate allowed (43.8%), and the Chiefs also have not been easy to run on (92.7 rushing yards allowed per game).
Justin Herbert has been extremely awful to start the 2026 season. According to Sam Hoppen, Herbert ranks 30th or worse among qualified quarterbacks in EPA/play (-0.18), success rate (39%), completion percentage over expected (-4.5%), and pressure to sack rate (22.4%). Herbert’s already thrown seven interceptions and he’s been sacked 17 times. It seems somewhat unfair to put him on the road against the Chiefs, who are playing with fresh legs.
