A slate that started as six games is now down to five as Toronto and Chicago has been postponed due to Toronto’s COVID-19 outbreak. Even with only five games on tonight’s slate, there are PLENTY of value options and we’re going to explore them all!
Delon Wright, ATL PG
The Hawks are without a LOT of guys tonight including Trae Young, which puts Wright in the line of fire. He should approach 30 minutes here, especially with the sort of workload Young is leaving behind, and is someone who can do a LOT on the basketball court. The Magic are 27th in DRtg this year and Wright and the Hawks should be able to take full advantage of that fact.
Cedi Osman, CLE SG/SF
The Cavs are a team that’s been snakebit by the health and safety protocols and Osman is set to take advantage of his teammates being sidelined. In their last game, he played 27 minutes and scored 23 actual and 39.35 DKP. With Sexton, Allen, Mobley and Okoro off the floor this year, Osman has a 25.4% USG rate and a 1.1 FP/min. He’s an elite option and one you can use in all formats.
Ivica Zubac, LAC C
The Clippers center looked really sharp their last time out without Isaiah Hartenstein as he double-doubled across 27 minutes. With both Hartenstein and Marcus Morris out once again, Zubac will have another chance at a big game at a very cheap price point. He averages .94 FP/min with them off the floor. The Kings are 29th in DRtg and fifth in pace, which is going to maximize Zubac’s value.
DeMarcus Cousins, MIL C
We’ll have to see how this plays out, but this situation isn’t the same as it was the other day when Cousins played 27 minutes. Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday are back, but the Bucks front court is still a little messy. No Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bobby Portis or Brook Lopez, which could lead to more Boogie Cousins. He can clearly still produce at a high level when he gets the run, but how often do you want to extend Cousins past 20 minutes? I’m not sure. If he’s starting, I have interest in tournaments.
Eric Bledsoe, LAC PG
The numbers without Marcus Morris, Luke Kennard and Reggie Jackson on the floor for Bledsoe are outstanding – albeit a limited sample size, but nevertheless something we want to attack at his sub 5K price tag. Bledsoe’s role has taken a hit of late, but with two members of their backcourt out, he should approach 30 minutes here. I mentioned earlier when touching on Zubac that the Kings are 29th in DRtg and fifth in pace, so bonus for the Clippers across the board.
