Thursday's NBA slate brings us five games including some great matchups for our Underdog Fantasy NBA Pick'em contests this evening. When it comes to deciding on which matchups to target for our Underdog NBA picks tonight we have to look at recent player performance along with some of the latest projections we have over at Fantasy Alarm for tonight's games so we can put together a winning formula so let's get to it.

 

Top Underdog Fantasy NBA Pick'em Plays

RJ Barrett, SF Toronto Raptors

Since his trade from the Knicks to the Raptors we've seen Barrett average 20.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. We've now also just seen the Raptors trade forward Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers. Barrett played 36 minutes against the Heat the other night without Siakam and finished with 26 points and eight rebounds. Tonight, the Points+Rebound projection for Barrett is set at 27.5. This is a number he has finished higher than in six of the eight games he has played with the Raptors this season. With Siakam gone, I'm looking at Barrett to continue his stretch of strong play this evening against the Bulls.

Collin Sexton, PG Utah Jazz

The Jazz have been playing around with their starting lineup this season but they have finally settled on a rotation that includes Collin Sexton as one of their starters and it has paid off big time. Sexton is averaging 21.9 points per game on the year in 19 games as a starter this season and in games where he has played at least 30 minutes that average actually jumps to 24.8 points per game. Tonight's point projection has been set at 19.5 points. Over the last 10 games where Sexton has played at least 20 minutes he has finished higher than this line in nine of those 10 contests. We've always known Sexton is an elite scorer and that has really been on display for Utah this season.
