We got five NBA games over on Underdog Fantasy for today's Underdog Fantasy NBA top picks. This NBA slate features some elite talent in the field such as Anthony Davis, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokic just to name a few. When it comes to finding the right plays for our Underdog Fantasy NBA pick'em plays today we are looking to target matchups with solid game totals, competitive spreads and projections we can exploit.

Over the last two days we are 2-1-1 after falling just short of our Devin Booker 8.5 1Q points pick yesterday as he finished with just seven points. We did hit with the Wendell Carter Jr. 7.5 rebound pick however. Let's get to today's pick so we can cash some tickets!

Underdog Fantasy NBA Pick'em Top Plays

Norman Powell, Los Angeles Clippers

One of the better bench players in the NBA, Powell is averaging 13.4 points per game over 25.5 minutes which makes tonight's point projection a bit interesting with it being set at 11.5. Powell has finished with more than 11.5 points in 68% of games played this season which includes 11 of the last 15 contests. He's also gone over this total in both games against the Lakers this season. My one assumption here is that Vegas is expecting a possible blowout with LeBron James not playing tonight for the Lakers but we've also seen Powell close out games where the Clippers had large leads. A shoot-first guard, Powell gets on the floor and looks for his offense. We've also recently seen the Clippers use a small lineup due to Ivica Zubac being out of the lineup which has at times led to increased rotational minutes for Powell. I'm liking the odds here this evening for the Clippers "sixth man".

Pick: More than 11.5 Points

D'Angelo Russell, Los Angeles Lakers

Staying with this game, Russell recently re-entered the starting lineup and over the last five games as a starter he is averaging 27.2 points on 18.6 shot attempts per game. These 18.6 shot attempts include 8.2 attempts from three-point range where he is averaging 4.4 made three-pointers per contest. His three-point made line tonight is set at 2.5. The Lakers are without LeBron James tonight which was the case when the Lakers played the Jazz back on January 13th and in that game Russell played 40 minutes in a loss and had 39 points, going 6-of-11 from three-point range. Yes, I know the Clippers are a better team than Utah, but the usage rate increase and shot attempts without LeBron James can not be ignored. If this game is at all competitive tonight it's likely because Russell has continued his strong play and seeing that he will be up against the likes of James Harden and Russell Westbrook tonight, both of whom are not known for their defense, I'm expecting Russell to come through here this evening.

Pick: More than 2.5 Three-Pointers Made
