NBA Underdog Fantasy Picks Today, 5/7

There are a lot of great spots on the slate, but the two I’m targeting are Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics and Jalen Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Let’s dive into our top Underdog Fantasy NBA picks of the day!

Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics

Over the last two games of the Miami Heat series, where Kristaps Porzingis got hurt, Tatum averaged 16 potential rebounds per game. He grabbed 10-plus boards in four of five games in the previous series and had eight rebounds in the one game in which he didn’t. If Jarrett Allen can’t play, or is limited, Cleveland will not have their normal front-court length and that will lead to another big game for Tatum on the glass, especially without Porzingis there to gobble up the boards.

Jalen Williams, Oklahoma City Thunder

At separate times in the Thunder’s first-round series, we saw stardom from each of their big three, including Williams as he averaged 21.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. Williams dominated the game everywhere he was asked to as he averaged 9.5 potential rebounds and 8.8 potential assists. All in all, 18.3 potentials in those two categories combined. We saw the Thunder extend Williams up to 40 minutes in Game 1 and 38 in Game 4, so the mid-30’s minute regular season version of Williams is long gone.
